I am having this problem now for a week. heartburn, indigestion, water just seems to bubble up. I have tried hot, cold, nothing, zantac 150 x2 a day, gas x strips, maalox, pepcid, prilosec, a mint, tums, nothing is working. I finally broke down and called the dr today. He called back tonite but I didn't get to phone in time. I will find out what he says tomorrow. I really can't stand it anymore. I have ate more pills in the past week than food or water and still have the da-- heartburn indigestion crap. And to top it off, I haven't lost any more weight. This is freakin depressing as all he--. I am down to 302 but it just won't go any where else. Did I make the right decision? I am really starting to wonder. I need something to change fast, I don't think I have enough anti-depressants to work through this one. Not to mention it is Valentines Day, and I miss chocolate today like crazy. The smell is just in the air and won't go away. Taunting and driving me insane. I think I will just go to bed for a week and wake up when it is all over, and everyone has eaten themselves silly with chocolate and it is not on clearance at the stores anymore.

Let me just say that i have found the most yummy amazing sugarfree chocolate! its the herseys sugar free in the candy section of the grocery stores they are like 1 inch small but to me they really taste like chocolate!

And just like everyone has told me, the weight is coming off slowly but its still coming off. You'll get off that plateau really soon. I was at a stall for 2 weeks and now this week i've lost 5 pounds and the week for me aint over! some weeks are better but your body is probably in that starving mode and hanging onto every calorie but you'll get off fast, are you drinking protein and your fluids?

Default I can't believe I have made it this far!!!

Did anyone feel the earth shiver last night? Its okay, nothing to be alarmed about really. I just jumped to the moon and down again. You see I made it to 299 lbs last night and I really started to cry. It has been 13 years since I have seen to 200's. Yes I know it is still the closest to 300 but I actually saw the 200's. It is a miracle. It is a very slow process for me but it is moving. My body thinks it needs to hold on to every little ounce, but it is coming off. It might take me another year to lose 100 lbs but it is so worth it. I really cant believe it. Even at 299lbs when I lay down I have a rib cage again, and starting to feel my other bones, like elbows. My boobs are actually starting to peek out further than my stomach, and my goodness that's been 15 years.

Default Gosh It Is Moving So Slow!!

Well Since The 20th, I Have Only Lost 5lbs. This Sucks Major. I Was So Hoping To Lose Way More By Now. I Know That 5lbs Is 5lbs But I Really Have Alot More To Go And I Am At My Third Month In 9 Days. I Thought Maybe My Thyroid Was Slowing Me Down, But Seems Like Everyone Else Thinks No. I Guess I Will Wait For Blood Work Next Week And See For Sure. I Have All Kinds Of Hair On My Stomach Area And Face, Skin Really Dry Along With My Scalp That I Am Ripping Holes In To Scratching All The Time. That Is What Makes Me Think My Thyroid Is Acting Up Again And That My Meds Need To Be Adjusted. I just wish I could lose as fast as some do. I know stop being a wah wah.

Default My Problem With Eggs!!

I am almost 3 mos post op. I have only had eggs twice since surgery. The first time was a deviled egg pureed. It was good, but made me nauseas. That was a 1 month out. Today I tried a hard boiled egg. Ate about 3 bites and knew this was not going to be good so stopped. I seemed to get through it and was ok for 4 hours. I had not eaten nothing else all day, and then came the pains, sweating, rapid heart beat, and a quick run for the toilet. I had it coming from both ends. I have had problems with constipation the past few days and wonder if the egg just built up too much gas??? It was as if I was having a dumping episode but it wasn't from any sugars. This was the second time I have thrown up from food, the first being roast beef from Arbys. Although the first time the vomiting was very quick and uneventful and nothing like the wretching I am used too, this time was different and back to the dry heaves, wretching and major headaches that I used to have while vomiting. I am better know but just don't understand what is happening. I can't do oatmeal either anymore as it makes me nauseas just like the eggs, as does chicken most of the time. I also have a problem with milk on occasion, and can't do any yogart, cottage cheese. I am good with almost anything else. Just wondering if anyone had any suggestions????

Sorry to hear you're not losing as fast as you anticipated...sucks...but know that it WILL be coming off!! I do not have a thyroid issue...but let me tell you my skin was itching sooo bad, not on the scalp..but the body!!! I now use Aveeno for dry skin every single day and my skin is now soft and supple...with no itching except for on parts of my back that I can not reach! Argh! I too noticed increased hair on my face and stomach...but I used to have that issue many moons ago so thought it was just my hormones acting up again. But at least it's now "peach-fuzz" and not BLACK MAN-HAIRS!!! Yikes!

And just think...you've lost 65 pounds in 8 months...you probably couldn't have accomplished that prior to WLS and KNOW that it's not coming back! Right?

THNKS KATZ, YOU have not did so shabby yourself. I guess mine is peach fuzz too, but it sure seems like alot of it. I actually started thinking about it today, do they shave our stomachs for surgery? Maybe that is why is seems so much hairier. I don't know!!! I am happy for my loss, and no I would have never been able to do it on my own. Thank you Dr Chae again for giving me a chance at life again..

Default My New Wow!! For My Personal Notes!!

Well I went down to the cable company to pick up a new box, and their new rules are you must have an ID. So I went back out to car, got purse, pulled out DL, gave it to the clerk, she handed it back to me and as I was putting it away, I noticed something shocking. For the 1st time in FOREVER, I actually weigh less than what my DL says. I started laughing and said OH MY GOD, I am so happy. The clerk looked at me like I was nuts, and said "Really, I hope you enjoy your new programming". Well I really started to laugh then, So I told her it had nothing to do with the cable or the box. I explained myself and she just said "oh, ok". Well it was not a WOW moment for her, but for me it meant the world. I called my husband right away, and my sis in law as I had to share right away. So thank you to all who give me support every day on this site, and one day my husband and family will understand why this site is so important to me. Love and lots of luck to all of us!!!!

Default I am 4 months out today!!!!

Well today it has been 4 months. Although I have not lost as fast as some and not as slow as some, I am happy overall. I mean I would never been able to do this on my own and my tool will work as long as I don't try to sabatoge myself. Some days are harder than others as most of you know. So today I have updated my stats and I am happy. I wish I would have done this years ago, but I guess we must all wait for that special time in our lives when God and yourself agree that it is time and the last hope.
