YOU are too funny!!!! I love the Soup on Thursday!!! LOL!!
Potato soup--yum. Had it for dinner yesterday. Had leftover Christmas dressing with added chicken broth for breakfast today. Not bad. My scale doesn't work.

Anji,

Sorry about your scale. I have to hide mine in the closet and only bring it out on fridays. I KNOW I will go completly obssessive if it's in sight.

Deborah
CONGRATS ON YOUR SURGERY. How are you feeling? I'm just a lil bit ahead of you and it was so hard watching my bf eat wings last night. ughh. I had to hole up in my room and watch The Office. Can I get just a bit of sensitivity up in here?

I love him but
I CANNOT WAIT UNTIL ASH GOES BACK TO SCHOOL!

that is all.

Default ugh

Today was so very frustrating. I am still not getting paid and things are starting to get a bit tight.

My FMLA is in and already approved but thats not the part that pays me. I had to resend the disablity paperwork because they claimed they did not have it and now they are requesting more verification that my surgery was "medically neccessary" I can understand that but wonder why they didn't request it in the first place (?????)

I'm waiting for uhc to send me the paperwork. I've requested it three times. My call to my BCBS today to ask about my follow up appointment was very vague. My plan of action is just to go through my Dr. office instead of waiting the additional 7-10 days but my calls are not being returned. I'm just gonna go there tomorow and wait it out. My follow up appointment 01-09 will be too late.

soooo extremly annoyed.

It's good to have a place to vent!

Default Friday weigh in

I'm a new auntie.

My sis in Las Vegas gave birth at 2:28 am. A beautiful baby boy. She delivered without an epideral.

She is simply my hero.

When I was pregnant with Ash and my doc inquired about drugs, I insisted on an epideral for every centimeter I dilated. I wanted about five of them!

The newest member of the family weighs in at 6 lbs 14 oz.!

I now weigh 235!

and, oh hey, I am now on puree. I am SO very excited

I took Ash to his Swim-n-Gym class today and had a mini-WOW moment. Before surgery I could barely squeeze into the chairs provided and always worried that when I stood up, one would be stuck to my ass.

This actually happened at my brothers on Thanksgiving and my sister from Utah was there to witness my humiliation. I bravely laughed it off.

Today I actually had a bit of wiggle room. I looked at the chairs around me thinking that they had changed to a different style and then the realization dawned that the chairs were not getting bigger *I* was gettting smaller. I broke into a huge happy grin as I cheered Ashton on.

He graduated to the next level of silver and I will no longer be asking my mom to take him because I have nothing to be ashamed of. One fear already conquered 3 weeks out.

We celebrated by having lunch at Wendys. Chili has never tasted soo good.

Default payday!

I showed up at my Dr office today, apologizing for being a little late due to traffic. She informed me that they do not see patients on Wednesday. My appt was actually MONDAY I don't know how I messed this up. I am such a space cadet.

New appt 01/21/08 I marked it on my datebook and put it in my phone.

The GOOD news is my "check is in the mail" so to speak. It will be direct deposited into my account Thursday night. I cannot tell you how utterly relieved I am!!! There's even a bit left over after bills to do some shopping on the LUSH website. (if I can't eat it might as well bathe in yummy stuff)

I'm hanging out at my brothers worshipping my 9 month old brillant nephew.

Life is good today!

Cool I think I love you.

Hey, Manda-- thanks. I just read your thing on my thread- and I know you are absolutely right. I know you're not judging, and thank you for your concern. I'm going to support group tonight and tomorrow I'm going to start going to meetings again. It's like AA but it's called Celebrate Recovery-- it's a Christian group.
All I can say to you about the smoking is, I know it's really hard to quit. My dad and my husband's mom both died with lung cancer. I think with my kids, the only thing I don't want them to do in life is to have my bad habits-- maybe stopping for Ash will be a good incentive. My poor husband has gone above and beyond for me, and this is the one thing that hurts him.
