Thumbs up Trainer

I interviewed and hired a trainer today! Tonight is our 1st workout together. She reminds me of Jillian off the Biggest Loser. *YIKES* I am sure she will kick my butt! LOL I will keep ya posted on the progress.

Exclamation Wow!

WOW! What a workout! I had my 1st workout with my trainer last night.
She took all my messurements, weight, body fast % and gave me a great workout. One of our goals we set is to focus on building lean muscle and getting me running! I am very excited and enjoyed working with her. I paid for 3 full months of service and I will see her twice a week on Monday and Friday AM. When I am not with her she wants me to work on cardo and strength training. I new I was out of shape but...OH MY! LOL I am a little sore this AM but still going back for more.
The gym I joined is very cool it is new and small but has excellent equipment and I have a key pass so I can work out 24/7 if I want too. Hubby also joined that will be fun to have a partner to support each other.
I am @ the airport heading to Chicago for a couple of days..but I did bring my workout clothes to workout @ my hotel.
I gotta keep my butt movin and tone up my new body.

Thumbs up Victory...mind Over Matter Pays Off!

The following is a copy/paste from a thread that I replyed to yesterday under excersise on 6/7/08...

In the past working out before WLS I HATED the elliptical machine! What a mean machine! I could barely stay on for 5 minutes and my hubby could workout on it for 45 minutes plus.
This past week I joined a new gym and hired a new trainer for the next 3 months I workout with her twice a week.
This morning hubby and I headed out to the gym and I jumped on the elliptical first thing. I stayed on for 5 minutes (which seemed like FOREVER) and made myself stay with it for 11 minutes. I want to work up to it and stay on for an hour...gonna keep pushing it to get there! Make my body do something I never thought I could do.
Tomorrow my goal is 15 minutes on the mean machine!
My trainer wants to push me to start running and lots of weight training...In fact I bought my first pair of running shoes today. Me running? OMG! I never even dreamed of doing that! WLS is so amazing in so many ways!

LIFE IS GOOD!

TODAY...6/8/08
I DID IT!!! Not only did I stay on the "mean machine" I stayed on 30 minutes! WOW! That is a WOW moment fo me! My hubby was right beside me and he was cheering me on and sooo proud of me that I tackled 30 minutes! YAHOO!
I meet with my trainer @ 8 am in the morning...I am sure she is gonna work my buns off!

I have two "free" sessions with a personal trainer coming with my new club membership... I've been avoiding "The Machines" so far, opting for aqua classes... but I know I need to get some strength training started! That means I'll have to dig out my gym shoes and see what I have for gym-garb!!! EEEK!

GO KATIE GOOOOOOO! You will love it. Ok not really but after your workout you will be so proud and glad you pushed it!

I had my 2nd workout with my trainer @ 8 am this morning. It was AWESOME! She pushed me so hard past what I would have done on my own. She is AMAZING! Her name is Karen but I refer to her as Jillian from the biggest loser! LOL It felt so good after a long hour with her. I never knew how strong I was. She kept pointing out my "muscles"as I was growling through her torture. LOL It was very good and money well spent! Gonna be a great 3 months with her. I am sure I will begin to "hate" her as she holds me accountable and pushes me past my limits but in the end it will be worth the sweat!
I turn 35 next March and I wanna be fit fit FIT and looking good. I am soooo on my way!

Default Happy Father's Day!

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY!

I hit 120lbs down this weekend! Very cool! I also bought a pair of size 14 jeans and enjoyed wearing them yesterday. Infact these are the same cut/style I have been chasing down since my WLS. I started out in a size 28 from the Avenue and I am now in a 14! That is SEVEN Sizes! WOW!...LOVE IT!
I am tell working out with my trainer is helping me tone up and the the inches shrinking!

Here are a couple of pics taken today of hubby and I. The 1st pic was 2 weeks post opp.
