I agree the potty training issue scares me too. He was good as an infant to train to go to bed, naps breaking the bottle. Now this will be the hardest to do.
Hey brother your on your own with little Lily. LOL They say girls are MUCH easier.

YES! Duane (hubby) has lost weight! Looking hot he is! He has lost around 60lbs. YAHOO HUBBA HUBBA!

Hey Little Sis! So good to talk to you the other night. Thanks for calling. I swear we I feel like I have know you all my life. It is a amzing that WLS and TT brought us together.

As for me I am at a stall...Still working with my trainer and pumping iron. Arms and legs are really shaping up. OMG...I have muscles...lol She has been havinging me run more and more. Been walking for 5 mins them run for 2-3 mins and back to walking. I continue doing this for 2 miles.
I know I am dropping inches since my clothes are loser and loser but I will not measure until 8/12 that is when my trainer is back from vacation.

I was excited yesterday I went to Victoria Secret"s and my bra size was down another size around (was wearing 38D @ Vicky's). I am a 36D...WOW...I was a 44D pre WLS. Amazing how 10 1/2 months changes so much.
Besides the stall on the scale moving....LIFE IS GOOD!

Thumbs up 8/8/08 and feeling great!

Hello all well I had WOW last night and I wanted to share.

My personal trainer has been on vacation for the past 10 days (thank you God she will be back on Tuesday ) so hubby and I have been very good at going to the gym every night since she has been gone. We have been focusing on our cardio. My trainer wants me to walk 5 mins run for 2-3 mins them walk 5 mins repeat. Now no biggie for me (hard @ first) and I really do like it. Let me add that when I am working out with my trainer it is mostly strength training, toning and weight lifting, cardio only as a warm up and @ the end of our workout. So my trainer does not have me on the tread mill for hours usually 25-35 mins and depending on our workout for the day.

Well...Last night I stayed with it I was on the tread mill for the 1st time every in my life for a little over an hour! YAHOO! I did over 3.5 miles and LOVED it! I was so proud and surprised that I really could have stayed even longer but had to go and pick up my little one.
Also my hubby the past 2 nights he has been running...yes RUNNING a mile! I am so proud of him he has never been able to run a full mile it was awesome sharing the challenges with him. Truly a BLAST!

It is now 2 days away from my 11 month anniversary. The weight is not falling off but I am dropping inches and toning up very nice. I weigh in this Friday night with my trainer and she will record my inches, body fat, and BMI.

I am thrilled with my journey and lifestyle change. It is so worth it! I still would like to drop another 48 lbs and I will keep it up until I do.

Default One Year Update

I can not believe a year has past! WOW! My anniversary was 9/12. I flew back to Texas yesterday for my one year follow up. I received a great report. He was so pleased with my progress and finally gave me a goal. He would like to see me around 180, my goal for myself is 172 ( then I will be 1/2 the woman I was lol).
I have been working with a personal trainer and I have lost over 25 inches and averaging 7 lbs a month this is all since June. I have signed up for another 3 months of training..I LOVE IT! My goal is to be @ 180 by Christmas. Only 27lbs to go!
My 35th birthday is in March and I am going to have a breast lift and possible implants. Yep...Birthday boobies! LOL I have started my research for a surgeon but not going to a consultation until after the new year. I wanna lose more weight then I will make up my mind on what is best for me.

Angry Very Hard Week

What a tough week...
After a long fight with diabetes my father in law passed away last Sat morning. We had the funeral on Tuesday.

He was only 54 years old and left a loving wife on 34 years and a son.

He had diabetes since he was a child and was insulin dependant. He had a kidney (kidney was donated by his wife) and pancreas transplant about 3 years ago. The kidney failed and a 2nd attempt at a kidney transplant March 2007 which failed when the surgeon cut an artery and he lost 80% of his blood and the kidney was wasted. The past year and a half was been a struggle as he had to go back on dialysis and 2 1/2 weeks ago he had to have is leg amputated. This also was not successful as infection set in. His 2nd leg also needed to be amputated but he was not strong enough to go through a 2nd surgery. He passed on just 2 weeks after this surgery.

I am so glad we chose to move home this past spring and my husband has been here to help his mother with his father's care. Also our little boy had a chance to get to know his Grandpa before he left us. I am so glad we are home now and close to our family. I know my father in law is in a much better place and he has known more pain and suffering. Now it is our time to heal.

My husband is an only child and he is the only one to help his mother through these changes. I am married to a wonderful man and I pray for his strength and healing.

I am thankful that I had my WLS and have my diabetes under control with diet and exercise. Diabetes is so dangerous and I worry about other family members who also struggle with diabetes. My father in law was not over weight and was very cautious of his diet the disease just took over his body through the years.
