Mike, congratulations on your achievements, and the best to you as you anticipate your vein procedure and tummy tuck. I join the others in that I have missed you so much!

Hugs!

Hey Mike! Hope you are still hanging in there and enjoying life and healing up after your procedure. Are you ready for the next one? I think of you often, podmate. Just the other day somebody asked me about the framed poem on my mantle and I happily told them all about my podmates and our first big surgiversary

Talk about great minds! I was JUST moments ago thinking about how you are. Your presence is definitely missed on this board, but I'm a fine one to talk, I've been majorly MIA myself.

It sounds like things are going well for you, my friend--I'm so glad!

Well, it's been two months since I last checked in...figured it was time for another update!

I'm still gaining and losing the same 2 or 3 pounds and have maintained the same weight virtually for about 7 months. I would still like to lose another 10 pounds or so, but at the rate I'm going, it will take 3 more years!

I was approved for the panniculectomy last week, but the ins. company didn't approve the abdominoplasty. I wasn't really upset at all, honestly...I just want the skin gone. I've been pretty good in the gym still, and I can't imagine that my abdominal muscles are in all that bad of shape.

I'm probably not going to have the actual surgery until the summer, when I can more easily take off of work.

My favorite things to eat right now are a Peanut Butter (reduced fat) and Banana sandwich on wheat bread or a Spinach and Feta cheese omelette. (Made with egg beaters.)

When I first had the surgery, I worried about what my limits would be and whether or not I would test them or my new pouch and the fact is, I don't really miss all the bad stuff I used to eat. If I want something, I eat it, albeit a much smaller portion (and I still steer clear of sugary and fried foods) and I'm careful about eating like that at every meal.

I still have a major cracker addiction and eat them every day practically, but 5 or 6 crackers is a helluva lot better than a whole pizza, you know?

I hope all of you are doing well...and I've enjoyed coming back and checking in and seeing all of your skinny little faces! Keep up the good work...and please come find me on Facebook and/or Twitter--I'm on there every day!

Take care, all!

-Mike

I don't stop by here too often myself these days, but love the email "alerts" to my favorite threads! Can't explain WHY I'm not on TT too often --- I think it's just something that happens. The forum continues to grow and amaze me. I feel like a stranger here now!

Mike, glad to hear you got approved! YAY! I'm so happy for you!

Waving HOWDY to my old friends... promising to pop in here more often, still loving my TT family!
