Mike your posts here really speak to me man. I'm a 35 year old male, currently weighing *gulp* 451lbs and I feel SO many of the same feelings you do. My moobs.. omg .. I can't even go there at this point. Maybe in a few months... but this thread has helped me more than you know. Just like the kid at your school who's random comment helped you. Thank you for being so open and honest.

I thank everyone else who posts here too, all of you have made me feel so much better about what's about to happen.

Thank you all.
Good luck dude! ANd make sure you let us know how you're doing as soon as you're able.

19 years ago...I weighed under 220 pounds. I was just graduating from high school and starting college for my undergraduate degree. I was working out 2 or 3 days a week, my metabolism was in high gear--as I was also eating McDonald's and Taco Bell virtually every day, but I was in decent shape. I was still overweight, but I didn't feel it or look it because of the muscle mass in my arms and chest.

It was the last time I remember weighing that weight.

Until this morning.

It's hard to believe that I'm under 220 again. (219...spot on.)

Today is going to be a good day. (If I can get the emotions under control!)

-Mike

Mike!
What a blissful day for you!
Claire said it so eloquently and gracefully - I can only second her!
Extraordinary how the "reward" system works - without food!
Cheers,
Vim
