You won't be for too long. I went in on a Monday, and was posting back at TT on a Wednesday! (In a tiny bit of pain--discomfort from sitting up all the way, but still...)

Good luck with your surgery...I hope it goes smoothly and uneventfully!

Mike, I just adore you! You are my total inspiration, and you are so real. The wonderful part is that you have the ability to express the real YOU. It's a gift.

I'm excited for you about the new job!!

XOXO

Stalling, stalling, stalling
Can't keep that weight ball rolling.
Ain't lost a pound in thirty days
(But I didn't gain, I guess hooray?)

I'm stalling, stalling, stalling
I wish the weight'd keep falling
I'm eating right, the protein's up,
But I'm feeling like a giant schlup.

I'm stalling, stalling, stalling
It sucks how it is crawling.
Got down to here, but now am stuck
(And still I need a tummy tuck!)

I'm stalling, stalling, stalling
Pretty soon I will be bawling.
That scale must move, I hope it's soon
(10 pounds before the next new moon?)

I'm stalling, stalling, stalling...

-Mike

LOL!!!! Awesome!

I hear ya. I keep being afraid every time I stall now that this time is the real close of the "golden window", the end of the "honeymoon period". I mean, we're 10 months out already! That's kind of crazy to consider that we've come so far. We both have lost so much weight and you really do look amazing now We both are down so far now that our BMR is lower, requiring fewer calories each day to maintain our weight, require more effort to lose, yadda. If you stayed where you are now, maybe only losing the occasional additional pound, would you be satisfied? I don't say "happy", but at least content?

I just watched Miami Vice on HBO. What a sucky movie. I was never really into the show, but thought the movie would be good. I was wrong.

Although, I couldn't help but think of what I would look like in a white blazer with a mullet. Hmmmm...smells like divorce.

I told myself initially that if I get under 300 I would be satisfied. Then it turned into getting under 250 and I could be happy. Now that I'm under that, my next goal is under 200...at which point I'd be THRILLED!

I'm content with where I am. I'd like more and we'll see what happens, but expectations have already been exceeded. I think that's awesome to even write out, just 10 months later!

I understand completely! I'm content but know I could still do better and lose some more (though people keep telling me that I should stop losing weight. Pfft! What do they know?!) First I wanted to get to my doctor's goal (204), then to Onederland, then to 175 (my weight at age 18), and now I'm trying for my doctor's 2nd goal (160)...Well, I reached so many of those already that I can't help but be happy. Would be nice to reach the 160 goal, or to be at the "medically ideal weight" () of 141 (though I kind of doubt that I'd look healthy still if I lost 30+ more pounds), but...well, you know. I can still hardly believe all of this happened so fast

New Protein Shake:

8 oz. cold coffee
3 Sweet N Low
3 TBSP Fat Free Half and Half
1 scoop chocolate Spiru-Tein Protein Powder
Enough ice to make it "Shake-y"

Blend it all together into a shake and then make Sweet Love to it!

It tastes like I made it with Coffee Ice Cream...unbelievable!

This SpiruTein stuff is awesome!
