Muchas Gracias, Senorita--Love you back!

And hey, honey, watermelon works for EVERYBODY! I think I'm going to go get another one, I'll just eat this one in moderation. You ought to see Lily with it. She eats little bits, but she LOVES squishing it between her fingers! Then she throws it! Good times... (but then I have to sing that damn Dora clean up song so that she'll stop throwing it long enough for me to clean it up!)

I've got to go to the dentist today. I'm dreading it. I know I've got a cavity...I've been talking myself down from tooth cancer and am still holding out hope that it's just a stuck sesame seed or something. I tried to get some floss up in there, but that is one tight...well, you get the picture. It's a back molar and the floss felt like a nylon boat rope. Maybe the dentist can just knock me out, floss me, and then get me the hell out of there!

UGH!

-Mike

Oh, and one more thing about the watermelon...for THOSE effects...you gotta eat the rind. That is some nasty shit, but it's a helluva lot cheaper than Viagra!

Maybe I could put some Splenda on it!

It's too bad you can't use it topically! (I'm even laughing at myself on that note...)

Good luck at the Dentist today! I empathize with you --- I've been messing around with some crazy-sensitive teeth for years, and have just figured out how to eat without using them! Argh!

My first panic attack occurred during a root canal... when they put that "mouth dam" on --- I freaked!

Hope yours is a simple need of flossing --- and nothing painful or expensive!

Keep up the great humor - you have lots of us chuckling while reading your posts!

Ooh Mike, that sucks. I have a HUGE fear of the dentist. When I had to go in for my first root canal EVER, which was last year, I broke down sobbing in the waiting room and Danita had to hold me and rock me for a good 15 mins before I calmed down....lmao...not one of my finer moments.

Ewww.....the rind of the watermelon?? Hell no. Not even Splenda can work its magic on that mess.

I'm getting a root canal on the 21st, after we get back from the beach! The dentist smiled really big when he told me that after all the work was done for the root canal, the crown, and something called cap extension or something like that, the total would be, with today's visit included, around $2800. I think we're going to have to sell the baby...

Insurance is covering $1000, and our new insurance has a cafeteria benefit of $750 that can be used toward it, leaving us with about $1100 to have to pay...so I signed up for their pay over time thing today. I feel like I'm mortgaging my mouth! I was going to use that $750 for the personal trainer. Damn it all!

The upside is that the doc gave me pain meds for the next week, and is sedating me for the procedure. He was trying to explain everything to me, and I kept telling him that the less I know the better. I know it sounds naive, but I can handle medical information about ANYBODY else, but when it's me...well you know the hypochondriac drill...

Thanks for checking...we'll see how I am on the night of the 21st!

-Mike

PS. How's Lori...did she check with her doc?

We're on vacation this week. I'm checking in sporadically, but not posting much. The wireless signal in our hotel is crap so I'm virtually unplugged from my online activities. (Which makes me ill...) I'll post pics here and there on our weblog at Land of Fisher if you want to see what we're up to!

I'll be back online in a better way by this weekend!

We're still on vacation, but I thought I'd post some pics. Some of them are on our weblog already, but I'm posting them here anyway. I'll be back in the swing of things by next week on TT and posting regularly. We're having a good time at the beach and today we drove down to Savannah. My wife wanted to see Paula Dean's restaurant so we went down and visited the gift shop. We almost got in to eat, but they couldn't (or wouldn't) accomodate a high chair for Lily. Oh well, we ended up at this place called "Corleone's." It was a "Godfather" themed restaurant--one of my favorite movies. We didn't "take the cannoli" but the food was outstanding! I had bites of pasta primavera, a meatball, and a little bit of lasagna, along with a couple of spoonfuls of cream of asparagus soup. I would have eaten more of the soup, but Lily tasted it and that was it...she ate the rest!

Hope you all are well! We'll talk soon!

-Mike
