Mike - it is these moments that just come out of the blue that will stick with you the longest... Be sure to keep a list of WOW moments... I have one started in my blog... Today I saw my friend Judy - she accompanied my daughter the day of my surgery, so you know what a good friend she is. I hadn't seen her in about 3-4 weeks... as we were leaving the lunch, she hugged me and whispered, "You're looking so awesome!" It just warmed me to my toes!

I'm only 33 pounds down... but I'll take it! And cherish it!!!

I can only imagine how much more AWESOME I'll look when I'm down 140 like you!!!

Congrats buddy - I'm so very proud of you!

Mike, what a beautiful "Wow" moment, and very much deserved! There are probably many more people in your life (at school and elsewhere) who are thinking how great and healthy you look, but they just haven't been so open about their feelings as the young man. Kudos to both of you!

Out of the mouth of babes.

Mike - I'm coming round to believing that losing weight makes us more approachable. I don't know whether it's the more appealing physical appearance or a change in our attitude/disposition - probably a combo of those and other factors I suspect.

I posted this in another thread but thought I would put it here too...

We bought an attachment for the bike so that the baby could go with us and it only took about 2 hours and 3 or 4 dozen "F" bombs to get it attached! It's still a little chilly, but we're ready for the summer!

By the way, these bikes that look brand new are over 5 years old...we've just never been able to ride them until now!

Awww, Mike! That is sooooo awesome! Little Lily looks adorable back there and you look like the active, sporty dad ready to drive her around.

I'm a little jealous though that it's still cool weather where you are -- today it was 90-frickin' degrees here!!! I don't waaaaaant summer yet!

I worked out with a trainer today, and my arms are so weak I can barely type.

That bastard kept pushing and pushing and I kept thinking about John's post about motivating someone, so I didn't quit. I also didn't want the trainer to think I was a puss. I'm gonna be cursing his name in the morning...I'm close to doing that right now!

I don't know how folks do it--and I can't believe how weak I am going into this. It is unbelievable to me that I can even work at the level I was at today. 6 months ago...I wouldn't have made the first 5 minutes. Today I went an hour and a half! (30 minutes was on the elliptical...the rest was weight machines)

I'm dying.

Yet I'm living like I never have before.

This surgery is just awesome. I love my tool. (Don't take that out of context.)
