Angie's Story
Well I have been looking around for a few months, and have messaged a few times, so I thought now I would start to share the journey I am on with everyone.
It all started way back when I was like 6 or 7(that I can remember) I was always the "chubby" kid at school, my mom tried to ignore the fact and loved me just how I was and let me pretty much eat what I wanted when I wanted. I went all through High School playing on all the athletic teams and thats when I went from being "chubby" to being labled "big-boned" I always knew deep down that I was not big boned(how big can bones be?) I knew it was what I was eating, I can not even to today imagine what size I would be if I didnt exersize all those years! I moved out after highschool and went through my ,as I call them, pre-children years, partying, not eating and I managed to get down to 215 lbs that was my lowest weight that I can remember, I am 5'9" so that is not that too terribly overweight, but STILL is obese. I had my first son when I was 21 and gained 65 lbs with the pregnancy lost 50 of that by the time I had my second son 19 months later. I gained 40 more pounds with him. Taking me to 270 lbs. I went down to 230 before getting pregnant the 3rd time. I had a ruff pregnancy and was diaognosed with gestational diabetes and gained 72 lbs with my son. I have bounced around from 317 to 295 but cant seam to keep it off. I also have a bad gullbladder jam packed with stones as well as my liver enzymes are out of whack! I am schedualed for Gastric Bypass Surgery on November 29th with Dr. Nohr in Medicine Hat.

Hey girlfriend....November will be here before you know it. Setting your WL to 140 lbs is a very realistic goal for now. I know you can do this and even more if you decide to do that down the journey. Glad you are so close to Nohr, makes it much easier.
We are here for you and I know Nohr doesn't give you a lot of information on eating after GBP...trust those here, we have been through it, live it and know.
Countdown is on!

45 days until surgery
Well I am 45 days until my surgery, and I am starting to realize it is coming sooner than I might know. I have began to purchase things like vitamins and splenda, but it is always racing around in my head what if I dont get the right things or forget to get things, I know I can get them after it is just kinda hard to go out n about with 3 kids and a foot long insision, you all know what I mean.....lol....Anyhow I was wondering if maybe there is a link with a check list of things to buy that you will need post op or something along that line? And maybe a possible check list of what to bring to the hospital?? I am at the skating rink 6 days a weeks so have basicly 1 day a week to get my house work done and get these things ready......Thanks everyone....

I forgot to mention I am down 23 lbs, by cutting pop out of my day, and trying to control my portion size.
