Congratulations Angie on your date. November 29..my date for surgery is Nov.6 and now that its getting near..my heart is racing ..im on edge ,but im excited also...my husband is also waiting on a date for his surgery,he has to have a stress test..so im hoping it will make it easier ..both on the same diet ..I have also lost some weight from the diet im on now its getting ruff ..food !! food !! thats all you see on TV...Congratulations Angie again on your surgery date...

Well today marks 20 days to go until my surgery!!!I am excited but have noticed some "new" emotions, brain funcitoning...etc.... I feel like Im pregnant(IM NOT) I have had this kind of nesting feeling, scrubbing things down, throwing things out, organizing things. Is this normal? My husband thinks Im crazy! I have also noticed a major mood change like I could snap out in a second and then the next minute Im calm as can be. Im not sure what it is all about, whether it is the weather or the stress of having my sons hockey team in line before I go into surgery( Iam the team manager) as well as having to have all 3 boys activities the week im in for surgery mapped out or my husband will NEVER make it. I just dont know.

Angie, counting down the days with you. Very exciting!!!!!!!!!!

I can only just imagine the emotions those last few weeks. Every once in a while I get these waves of emotion and I have 4 months to go.

You well be fine. We can do this Wls thing! I just wanted to say thanks for the pm and good luck with your surgery. All your "feelings" are normal so they tell me, I have them too. My surgery is in 4 days on the 19th, I glad God is in control not me(hehe) God Bless you.

Today the hospital called and asked me to come in for the pre op assesment. So I went in and they asked me a million and 1 questions, sent me for some blood work and then to repiratory to do a lung functioning test!
Everything seams to be falling into place hopefully I passed all the blood tests. The lung test was a little off as I am obese and used to smoke it said I had lungs like a 67yr old. YIKES that really scared me but the guru who did the test said it was a quite normal result in obese patients as their weight can restrict the airways compasity.(I learned something new today

Its common sense if I had thought of it but hadnt. So now I am trying to lay low and not catch the cold that is going around. I only have 4 more times schedualed out of my house, before surgery. SO I am crossing my fingers!

Yippee Angie. I had the same test (same doc, same test eh!). I was told they use it as a baseline so during surgery they know where your levels were before and can keep things in tune during the procedure and after. My O2 sats were low after surgery and they kept me on oxygen for 2 days and lots of breathing exercises after. Others on the same day didn't have that. The tummy tuck surgery, they did the same test and my levels were much better having lost so much weight. So good news.

I am SO excited for you. I get even more excited with the Nohr patients as I have lived every step you are going through. It gonna be just fine...I can't wait to follow you through your journey post op. Remember I am here for ya.

Best part is no bowel prep, no more biggie tests. On the morning of surgery, they will do a swab and just prep your belly for surgery - its a breeze now!

I am ready Lisa!!! I am like a little kid counting down the sleeps 'til Christmas...3 more!!!!
I was gone all weekend for a hockey tournament with my oldest boy, it was hard to stay healthy being in an arena for 3 days but so far I've managed! I am now staying home bound and using my hand sanitizer hourly lol(better safe than sorry) just praying my kids leve all their germs at school.
I am getting things ready to put into my suitcase, it almost doesnt seam real to me, as this has all come quite fast. But I know I am more ready now that I have ever been in the past and so I can hardly wait to be out on the ice with my boys "drill sargenting" them around the ice. I havent been on skates for close to 6 years as the fear of falling is too great...Help I ve fallen and I cant get up!!!!!........I will try and show my husband how to post on here and where to and he can update you on Thursday afternoon/evening....HOPEFULLY....He is playing mr. mom and has to get the boys to the arena so we will see how it goes!haha...lol...Take Care
