I really don't feel that way (for the most part) but I am just very frustrated with life in general at the moment. All is good at home, but the stress and frustrations of me not having a job or income since 6/23 (unemployment was denied also) is really starting to take its toll. I have been applying for jobs since day one and have recently started going through a couple of agencies. I've even started applying for jobs that are advertising half of what I used to make - something is better than nothing at this point.
Steve is being wonderful about the whole thing. We're pinching pennies every way we know how, and we are surviving, but that's all we're doing - surviving.... I just need to continue to put my faith in God...... and ask -
anyone in San Diego know of any jobs around?!?

I seriously think the being out of work and the mental toll it takes could be effecting your weight loss.......I too lost my job right after surgery and it's been tough. Looking for jobs, interviewing, applying for things making much less money, it's TOUGH. And I dont know what your job market is like but here, it's hard....so many folks are out of work.....It has taken every ounce of strength to get through this.....I know how you feel....
Your weight loss is tremendous, dont get upset now, you are doing very well....I wish I was doing that well and I'm a few weeks ahead of you..
Keep it up and good luck on the job search

Girl, quit acting crazy. You are doing great. You are losing weight, whether it be slow or fast, you are losing. We all know this is a hard journey and you do have a lot of stress right now. But you have been successful, may not be what you were hoping, but the scale is down from when you started this journey and that is what is important.
Keep your chin up, keep up at the gym, and stay off the scales. I know the last one is hard, it is even hard for me.
Keep up the good work!

Cathy, Theresa and Toi, THANK YOU!!!
I talked with Steve last night about how the stress and inner turmoil could be affecting my weight - he agrees. I am back to 219 today - yes, I wear my scale whore badge with honor - I am and always will be one! In all reality, I do know that I'm not done, and I knew coming into this about stalls and plateaus - it's just amazing how these darn things affect the psyche when they do happen!
I'm feeling better - when I get frustrated with the slow moving scale, all I have to do is look in the mirror (and I do that often!). Steve took some pictures of my daughter and I giving the dog a bath yesterday and I was amazed at the transformation I saw in the pictures. We will take my official 3 month pics this weekend.
Theresa - I'm actually 3 days ahead of you, hon! Hang in there, I know you're going through a lot of stress of your own but it's all going to work out wonderfully in the end for ya!
Cathy - as usual, words of wisdom. Even though Mike didn't show up here, you took care of it for him
Toi I'm sooo happy for you that you have your date! As usual, thanks for your support and I can't wait to see your progress soon!
OMG! I jus figured out my BMI - I'm no longer obeese, I'm only overweight!

The scale is SLOWLY starting to move again, and I posted my 3 month pics in my album. I'm down a total of 55 pounds as of today (39 since surgery). Life is good, except for the jobfront. Speaking of which, back to the hunt!
Forgot to add - I'm 1.5 pounds away from my 1/2 way point to goal!

Wiiiiiiiii!
LOL, exercise is so much fun again! We finally got a Wii Fit yesterday. My daughter and I exercised last night, we set Steve up for his Mii, and I can't wait to exercise today!
I love the step aerobics, just wish I could get to the upper levels so it would be more work.

Over Half Way!
Let's see.... I'm down 58 pounds, so I'm officially over half-way to goal. Yippee!!
I finally got a new job, I start on Monday, the 25th. I get to wear jeans. I went clothes shopping this past weekend - went to Lane Bryant. LOL, it will probably be the last time I will be able to shop there. I am down into 1s and 2s in their Right Fit jeans, and bought a pair of 14 shorts that I figured would fit sometime in the future. Wrong!! I totally got into them and wore them this week. My 18s are big, my 16s are tight on the hips still depending on the style, the 14s were a fluke!
Exercising is getting better, I love the Wii. Still not doing as much as I need to be, and it's only going to get worse now that I am heading back to work. I have got to make that my priority!
I didn't have trouble with sugars to begin with. I could eat or drink just about anything. Lately even if it doesn't have a lot of sugar but tastes sweet, I can't stomach it. I had a little bit of yogurt the other day and then had to take the bowl to the sink because even the smell of it was making me sick to my stomach. I tried a new crystal lite flavor yesterday that was sickenly sweet I couldn't even drink it. I have decided that the only way I can have breakfast is to have a shake. I have been drinking my caramel/chocolate proteins twice a day for a while now and I still love the flavor. I tried some of my others that I have here and hadnt been drinking - can't stomach them anymore either. Funny how it changes. You would think I would have had these problems right after surgery - not 3 or 4 months out. Although I know people who are 2 years out and their tastes are still continuing to change also.
I continue to thank God every day that I was able to have surgery. Life is great!

Congrats Karen! I am so proud of you - and all the change you've seen so soon! I still struggle with protein, and need to make it a priority. I really don't get HUNGRY, but want to munch... that's a problem!
Half way to goal! WOWWWWWW! Keep on plugging away!
Oh, and the Wii! Our son had his 3 year old show us her Wii Fit moves... should have taped it... too funny!!! Good way to make exercise FUN! Start'em young, huh?
