Default Wow!!

Another wow moment! When I started this process, I wore a size 8.5/8.75 ring size. My hubby and kids got me a mother's ring for Mother's Day and I purposely had it sized at a 7.5..... I've been wearing it on my necklace with my cartouche (my name in heiroglyphics). I was just adjusting my necklace and I thought to myself "I wonder how close I am now?" Well, IT FITS!!!

Default One Month Out and Graduation

Here I am with my husband, son and daughter on the 12th - their graduation day and my 1 month surgiversary date. We had a great time, and I am so proud of both of my children. We had 18 people here at our house (we rented a trailer to put in the street too) and we are slowly getting back to normal life today as the last guests leave this evening.

Default where to now?

Well, as I posted in another thread in emotional support, I was terminated from my job yesterday. I can't say that I didn't see it coming, but it was still hard to take. I am trying to look at it in a positive way though, and have already begun applying for jobs elsewhere. We are also going to evaluate and see if I can just stay home with the kids over the summer and look again in the fall. I just have to thank God that we decided to back out of escrow on the house we were buying. We would have closed on the 15th and our payment was going to be almost twice what our rent is.

On a different note - A WOW moment!!! My mom brought me some size 18 shorts - not 18W, just plain old 18s. I have been trying them on every couple of days and couldn't get them over my hips. I actually got them on and zipped up today!! They're still a little snug on my hips, but they fit!!

Mom and I are picking a room a day to do some much needed spring (summer!) cleaning, and I am going to check on the gym's daily aerobics schedule now that I actually have time to do something.

OMG! OMG! HUGE Wow today. I am 228.6 - I haven't been in the 220's and 228 to be exact, since December, 1989, when I got pregnant with my oldest. I am so thankful that I was able to finally go through wth this! God is good!

On a different note, I'm on my way out the door to meet with a good friend of mine who is a bodybuilder and personal trainer - it's time for me to see what she wants me to do!

I decided NOT to work out with my friend the trainer at the moment. She and I discussed what I need to do, and I am going to start working on my own more after my mom leaves tomorow morning. She's going to keep any eye on me though, and will monitor to see if I need to change anything around later.

Thanks everyone for the kind words. This tool is such a gift!

Ugh! I wrote that on July 11.

Today is August 8 and I'm only at 220 - I've upped my protein, I'm working out, I'm drinking tons of fluids, my surgeon is talking about the fact that I've already started "slowing down" - WTF? I'm only 3 months out!! Is this it? Am I the one who won't lose it?

I really don't feel that way (for the most part) but I am just very frustrated with life in general at the moment. All is good at home, but the stress and frustrations of me not having a job or income since 6/23 (unemployment was denied also) is really starting to take its toll. I have been applying for jobs since day one and have recently started going through a couple of agencies. I've even started applying for jobs that are advertising half of what I used to make - something is better than nothing at this point.

Steve is being wonderful about the whole thing. We're pinching pennies every way we know how, and we are surviving, but that's all we're doing - surviving.... I just need to continue to put my faith in God...... and ask -

anyone in San Diego know of any jobs around?!?

I sure hope Mike comes by and posts one of his smart-*ss remarks!!! You are doing great! Don't let the doctor pull the rug out from under you...you can do and are doing this!! Continue to follow your doctors guide-lines and you will be even more successful! Okay?

anyone in San Diego know of any jobs around?!? Glad to hear that hubby is being supportive in both the weight-loss journey and the job search! You have been blessed. Sure wish I could help you with the job issue...but I know you'll find exactly what you need. Good luck!

Cathy
