I've loved reading your story so far! Well done on your awesome weight loss!
I'm in South Africa and all of the protein shakes etc can't be found here so NO idea what I'm going to use once I have the surgery. But I saw you posted about the GNC product - I know we get GNC here so do you by any chance remember the name of that protein vile???
How are your sinuses now? It's something I worry about too - I have dreadful sinuses and need to get them drained at least once a year. I'm having my op in May and thinking back, thats usually when my sinuses are BAD!!

Hello An! Thanks for the nice reply! It means a lot! I searched GNC and this is what came up CNP Professional Protein SLAM!™. I do not think this is the one I had, but it looks the same. Maybe they changed the package. I can not drink it anymore. It is too sweet. I haven't drank protein shakes in a long time. Actually for the most part, I drank SF Carnation Instant Breakfast. It is really the only one I like. I liked the Isopure, but it made me sick.. I lived in the bathroom!! Not a great feeling. I also like the Adkins Advantage Chocolate drinks. I get them at Walmart. Is there walmart there? I am sure they are everywhere.

My sinuses are better. I still have my moments. Now I know what it is, so I know not to eat as much food. I typically drink a lot during those times. Food just makes me sick when my sinuses are draining. I have even been on antibotics to help clear them up. Mine are bad in the spring as well, so I am sure I will be dealing with it again.

Hello to my TT family. I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas Holiday. It was a busy one for Vince and I. We typically run from house to house, but I love it. I am feeling really good. I did well with food... Not even 1 cookie or piece of candy! I was very proud of myself! It made me feel so good to hear my family tell me how great I look. It is so good for my self esteem!

My BMI has moved to the severely obese range!! It is going down!!

Today I am off shopping for all the sales!!

Vince had his knee surgery today and everything went well! The dr. was able to repair everything through the scope. He did have a reaction to the meds in his IV. Oh my, he was funny! Well, it was funny at the time because he was flipping out and trying to leave the hospital! LOL looking back, its funny. He is not drugged up on pain meds, so we will be having a "fun" new years! lol Oh well, such is life...

Hey, Renee, I just read your posts here - so interesting! I'm just at the beginning of things. I wanted to tell you that your story is inspiring - your name caught my eye because I am a Renee and live about 50 miles south of Pittsburgh!

I'm still hobbling around on a very sore knee... my PCP thinks I've torn my medial meniscus... and I have another week until I meet the ortho... Some people live paycheck to paycheck... I'm living pain pill to pain pill! It'll be interesting to see what the orthopedic md wants to do --- if it's surgery, he's gotta work around my RNY date!!!

I'm glad Vince's surgery went so well! I certainly empathize with him!!!

Vince is doing better day to day. He is walking much better. His sugar is 98!!! YAHOO!!!! He has really been watching his diet and he has lost 10 pounds. He is totally neurotic about sugar content in food now. Our house is very interesting now! lol

Toony, I feel for you. I see how much pain Vince has been in and he is still in pain, but it is from his surgery. I sure hope you can get your scope in and get all fixed up!!! You will feel so much better!
