Thanks for the support ladies!! Tomorrow is my 5th PCP visit! Hard to believe!! Just seems like I started this journey. I am lucky to have summers off to get all of these appointments in. I go back to work on the 15th, so I am bummed out. I have not done much that I have wanted to around the house. I cleaned out one room. Maybe I am waiting until I can get rid of all this huge clothes!!

I am excited to go back to work in a way. I have a new assignment this year. In the past I have been at multiple school districts. This year I have been assigned to one. As soon as I get settled, I hope to be off for my surgery!! Hopefully!1

I started a new thread under pre-op, but I also wanted to post it here. I am totally pissed and frustrated. I went to the PCP today and I gained 2 pounds. So much for a diet! Now, I have been sick all day thinking if this will hurt my chances of getting the surgery approved?! I have only lost about 8 during the whole process. This has so been my life with diets... up, down, up, down. I just feel like crap because I am REALLY trying, and once again I am failing! When will the nightmare end.

Found out from my endoscope that I have acid reflux! Add it to the list of shit wrong with me! LOL I guess I am in a crappy mood because I go back to work tomorrow. Not like I have not been off all summer.. I get spoiled! I went for my bloodwork today. After 7 tubes, I get a call later in the afternoon the tech forgot a test! Like they can not use on of the other 7 tubes! lol This is an important test she stated. It is the one that sees how my blood clots. Sounds important! So, I have to go back to the lab on Saturday morning because I go back to work tomorrow.... See how it gets crapy!?!

Until next time.....

Last Friday I was at lunch at Applebee's with some of my friends at work because we had inservice... I got "the call" that said my info had been submitted to the insurance co., and they gave me a date for my surgery.. Sept. 17th. A little backwards, but whatever!

Today, the social workers all had to meet with the psychiatrist to make a schedule for the school year. Well, everyone decides to go to Applebee's. My one friend who I was with on Friday said " wouldn't it been funny if they called today to say you were approved since we are at Applebee's again". I kinda laughed because it has been stressing me out!

Well, I go back to the office and I am working on referrals and my cell rings... Dr. office... Funny enough she said I was approved!!!!!!!!!!! Could it be an Applebee's thing!?!?! I do not care how ironic the whole story is... All I can say is my life will change forever on Sept. 17!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

August 30th I had my pre-op appointment with the surgeon. Things are all a go for the 17th! I found out that day that I have to do 2 weeks of a liquid diet because of the fatty liver. GREAT! I was to start today, but my husband and I went to the beach for the weekend, so tomorrow morning I will start doing the liquids..

I am getting scared.. When I am trying to fall asleep, I think of my life changing forever. I know it is going to change, but I think I am scared because I do not know what to expect. I have read all of the posts here, but I am scared because I do not know what will personally happen to me. I have ideas of what to expect, but everyone is different. Thank God for supportive family members!!!

Renee, I went thru just about all of the things you did. I never knew a site like this existed until today. Dont worry, the surgery is pretty quick, usually less than an hour. Mine was 4 due to stuff from previous surgeries.

Very little pain after the first 2 days and then its liquid for a while before the real food starts. I started the walking thing right away and it helps me so i'm not sitting around thinking about too much stuff.

Keep posting, I look forward to your progress....Dave

Day 1 of liquids... So far, so good. The unjury chocolate is not all that bad. Better than I thought. Today was my first full day back at work with students, so it went fast. No time to really think about food. Next week could be a challenge... No food, PMS, anxiety about my surgery.. I told my husband to get a hotel! I could be touch to live with! ha ha
