Default Not Yet!

I am still holding at 98 pounds! I am done being frustrated or even pissed! I had to hide the scale because it was becoming an obsession. I just want to hit 100 so bad. But, I am very pleased with what I have done in the 5 months since my surgery. Maybe with the plateau it will give my hair a chance to start growing back. I am going for my blood work on Saturday for my upcoming dr. appointment on March 17. This will be the fist blood labs I will have since my pre-op. I am anxious to see how things have improved and what my vitamin levels are. I am more conscious of this stuff now!

So, I am going to be positive of my weight loss and not cranky because I have not lost any weight in a while.. Well, 1 pound! ha

Hi Renee

I'm so inspired by your story. I've been rivetted to this spot reading all your posts and all the replies. I can't wait to read the next one.

I have not gotten my surgery date yet, but it should be fairly soon. I started the process on 10/3/07 with the initial seminar. My first doctor's appt. was on 11-8-07. Seems like it's been forever since I started this journey. I am so ready for my surgery.

I hope my progress is as good as yours has been.

Highest Weight: 249
Current Weight: 224
Goal Weight: 135

You're welcome. You deserve lots of praise.

I have my nutrition class on Friday morning and then they said I will have another doctor visit and then should be headed to surgery. I'm hoping it won't be a long wait.

My entire life has been a yoyo diet and I've had all I can take of that. My husband, Jim, and I have been married for almost 33 years and I want to enjoy many, many more years with him and be around to see our grand daughter grow up, marry and have children of her own. She's the only one we have and she's only 6 1/2 months old so that means I want to be around a long time! Time for me to get thin and healthy so I can crawl around the floor with her and play.

I'll keep you posted.

You look Fabulous! Happy Birthday Mom.

Last night was my first Support Group Meeting. I enjoyed it totally and learned a bunch of things. And met people who are pre-op and others that were post-op. I can't wait til I'm post-op!

I'm getting more and more nervous about the early weeks after surgery because I know it will be a struggle but also a journey I need to take. Did you have a tough time with the eating in the weeks after your surgery?

All the best to you!

Hey Emily! Thanks very much!

It was not all that tough for me after my surgery with eating. I was rarely hungry. I never really had "head hunger" that you hear others having on here. Once I was able to eat pured, I took it slow. Prior to my surgery I had the same fears as you. I thought how will I do this, but honestly I was not all that hungry. It is amazing! You will do great!

Great! I hope I'm not hungry too. That would certainly be a big change from now. Thanks for the encouragement.

I'm about to do my three day trial liquid diet. Hope that goes well. What sort of things did you "eat" on yours? I can't imagine 10 days of it before surgery. But, it will certainly help me to lose more pounds I'm sure.
