My surgeon never gave me a "goal weight". I made up my own goal based on my BMI. Well, today I am half way there!!

What a great feeling!!!! I had to share!

Getting a little frustrated... The scale is NOT moving!!!! I am soooo close to century, and I guess I have to wait a little longer...

As I have posted before, I have given a lot of clothes away in the past 4 months! I have given them to family members of one of my friends. Well, today I went to a birthday party, and people had my clothes on!!!!! I am so glad I was able to give them to people who can use them and appreciate them.... BUT, I am soooooo glad I will NEVER be in those clothes again!!!!!!!!!!!! My closets are very empty, but I am loving it!!! Getting rid of those clothes was such a big step for me! I have gotten rid of that old person, and I am loving the new person I have become. I am still the same, but I have gained so much confidence that I have not had in sometime.

Every time I ask Vince if he thinks I have lost weight, he says "yeah, but I see you everyday". Well, last night we were looking at a picture my friend has on her myspace page of the two of us... Vince said "WOW, you have lost weight"! That made me feel so good!

Today is the 5 month mark. I am very happy where I am, and excited to see where I will be in the months to come. These last 3 pounds to Century are really starting to piss me off though! lol I have my 6 month appt with the dr. on March 17. I will also have my bloodwork completed as well. I have started to get dizzy and light headed when I get up from sitting, and have been more tired. My mother in-law is a nurse and she said maybe it was low blood sugar.. Well, I took it and it was 90. Maybe I am anemic. I guess I will find out next month at the doctors.

I visited with my mom today. Today was the first time I told her what my starting weight was. She was shocked! She did not think I weighed that much... I told her I did not think so either. She tells me how good I look, but she has always preached to me about my weight, so it is hard for me to hear her tell me I look nice. She has called me fat numerous times in my life. Sometimes I felt she was embarrassed to be seen with me because of my weight. She never told me that, but that is how I felt by her actions. Now, she makes a big deal and it means nothing to me. I know she is my mom and I honestly feel she was not trying to hurt my feelings, but she has hurt them.

This is my little rant for the day.. I just get irritated when she makes a fuss.

Moms... what can I say, since I AM ONE! LOL We do love our children unconditionally - whether we show it all the time or not... Sounds like you have a good relationship with your mom - and that's all that really matters.

I'm still having a problem posting my weight stats... I am in denial of my starting weight... too gross for my brain!!! I don't know that I'll ever be able to say it out loud to anyone... mom or daughter!!!

So cool to speak to you tonight! I told my hubby it was just like talking to a friend I have had forever. Even though there are miles apart we still share something so close. I am so glad to call you my friend.
I know my work travels will take me someday soon to you and I look forward to "meeting" my WLS little sister soon!
