Default Samantha's Story!

Well seeing as I am only 4 days from surgery I thought I would start my own thread! Surgery is Monday May 7th 2007.

I am very excited but a little bit nervous, Andy my husband is quite emotional, he told me I was beautiful last night, that was the first time he has ever told me that and we have been together for 22 years!! My kids really don't want too talk to much about the surgery as they know there are risks and they just want me home in one piece.

I had my final day at work today and my office got together a lovely basket of goodies to use whilst in hospital and at home, including magazines, DVD's and lots of "body treats", a fancy mug, & even a couple of my favourite pairs of chenille socks! Very sweet of them, I told them I didn't want any fuss but all my staff showed up today to wish me luck!

I have applied for EI so that should go through OK, word of warning don't take your accumulated vacation pay right before you plan on going on EI as the government say that that will be income for the first 2 weeks and then you have to wait another 2 weeks!!! So I revoked my holiday pay and now only have to wait 2 weeks before the EI will kick in. I make pretty good moula so will miss not having a proper income for 2 months!

My mother flies in from the UK on Saturday and will stay here for a month. Andy is working nights friday and saturday but we will have a night together sunday WAHOO!!

here are some photos of my basket of goodies!
