Well I had my year check up with my GP, all bloodwork etc and the only thing that is a bit squiffy is my thyroid! I have had a bit of a history of going from hypo to normal and at the moment is it hyper! Weird! He is going to recheck me in 3/12. Anyone else had thyroid issues post op???

My weight loss is very, very slow....... I wonder if this is as far down as I will get (180lb)..... or if I need to change things up a bit? I am going to the gym sporadically and I am doing a 5KM run next friday. Life is crazy busy, I seem to do more for others than for me sometimes! Life is good though on the whole and GBS wise I am doing great. I am getting out horse riding quite a bit, and motorbiking, infact my first race is 21st June!

I am still suffering with a separated sternum, I have had more x rays done as this doesn't seem to be healing, so my run might be run and hold chest and then walk! The most painful this is sneezing as everything "clunks" LOL

well I did the 5Km and here is a photo of me and my friend Bonnie at the finish. My legs ached for 2 days but all is normal now! I am glad I did this as I certainly wouldn't have done this about a year ago! Down 120lbs now so its moved down a bit since I last posted, 16lbs to goal, it seems so near yet so far!!!

Samm - look at you! WOW girl...hard to imagine you 120lbs heavier. You are success regardless of those next 16 pounds, but I know you can do it if you want.

well finally I have hit the BMI level where I am just overweight!!! YAYYYYYY!!!

Had a great weekend racing (motorbikes), found out the 2 classes I was in (Ladies expert and Dual sport) ran one after the other so I ended up racing for 2.5 hours non stop, I have to say I could never have done that, stamina wise a year ago!! I am down to 173lbs now so 13 to goal, I just might have to move the goal posts at some point! Here are some photos of the race!
