Goal! I did it!
111 pounds gone since my RNY
125 total pounds gone forever!
Reached my new goal of 130...and I think I want to stop losing now. "Stop losing now".Wow, I never thought I'd ever say that!
Looks like Donna is right though. My body doesn't seem to be done...

Default Ketosis kicking in, I think!

>I feel like I have the worst breath ever! I've avoided sf gum so far, but when I go out of the house tomorrow for my first follow-up with the surgeon, I am going to take some! Don't want to frighten anyone!
>Effexor- got a new prescription for 2 tablets daily instead of the capsule. I had talked to the pharmacist too. Sometimes gel is for ease of swallowing, sometimes for time release. The Effexor is a time release situation. Now, things go through my gut much differently, seems a traditional time release would be a little screwed up, no? Only thing is- the tablets taste nasty!
>Stupid drain is down to less than 10 mls. Can't wait to get rid of it! It doesn't match the pearls or the rest of my outfit!
>It is a little difficult reigning myself in. I feel pretty good, no pain, just a bit of an ache. Only pain reliever I'm taking in Tylenol PM at bed. I keep thinking, maybe I'll do this, maybe that, then I remind myslf I just had major surgery. I don't have to do laundry- I have clean underwear! The dust is organic, right? Organic products are supposed to be good for us! My fiance helps out, but we all know there is "guy" clean and our clean, right?
>Food & water intake: I do 4 oz of Boost Glucose Control at breakfast, another 4 oz at lunch. At supper I try to do 6 or even 8 oz., over a 2 hr period! I'm getting in 2 to 2.5 pints a day, plus 2 or 3 SF Popsicles. Also about 1/4 cup SF Jello. Sounds like a banquet, huh? I think I'm doing pretty well. I had belly hunger rumbles once, several days ago, not since. Head hunger? Sure, NOW Subway comes out with a pastrami sandwich! Can't wait to start soft/pureed whatever comes next!
>My favorite, beat-up Winnie the Pooh shirt slipped on me today without clinging to my belly! Nope, still haven't weighed myself, but ...

Wink Now I remember why I liked Black Russians!

>They would make me sleep through the night! (I'll miss them!) I'm taking Tylenol PM every night, and every single night I wake up anywhere between 1 and 4 am; it takes me 60 to 90 minutes to get back to sleep. See? It's 2:15 in the bloody morning! This is the first time I actually got up, though. (I was worried about Dave in NY!) I don't nap during the day, I'm not that tired. No caffeine, so what the heck? I see my surgeon tomorrow- no, now it's today- and I'll mention this to him. You would think after an open RNY I would be doing nothing but sleeping!
>Couple short but intense waves of nausea today. I may be drinking too fast still, and not spacing out drinks/Boost with medications. It is a fine line to walk!
>I think I'm going to get a dog, one from a shelter; dog needs a home, I need a motivator for regular walks. I haven't had a dog for years, my fiance' has never had one, but we both love them..fiance may take a little more convincing. If I get the okay to drive, I'm going to the shelter tomorrow to window shop; if some pooch looks like he/she may be a good fit for us, I'll drag my honey there on Sat. I know him; he will love them all and be hooked!
>K- going to go back to bed and read a bit...I'll let y'all know how my first followup goes!
PS> Pegasus! Yay! You are on track!!!

Ceecee,
I am enjoying reading about your journey! It takes me back to that time...seems like a distant memory now. I did keep a little log, but it's funny to read now, because I TOOK the meds they gave me (a couple times) and whoah, the weird dreams I had! I had to write some of them down so I'd remember...and I just howl when I go back and read them now...I actually dreamed I did the SPLITS! This was at a point where I didn't dare bend over to look at my toes, because unlike a Weeble, I would wobble AND fall down! Happy to say, I am painting my own toenails now! You're doing great, and you're going to love having this log of what you've gone through! Keep up the good work...

Wink Well, just came back from my first followup!

>20 lbs gone according to their records! Yay for me! Really, I didn't get that excited over the number- check with me when I get under 300! Still, even 20 lbs make the clothes feel a bit better!
>Dr. says I am doing remarkably well, doesn't want to see me for 3 months! I told him I was suprised at how well I was was feeling; he said he wasn't, because I went in with a good attitude! Attitude: a lot of my friends have commented on that, that my attitude was so good. Well, it was a well informed, educated decision. I did my homework, read a whole lot of stuff here and elsewhere. Besides- it takes a heck of a lot less energy to be positive!
>A bite of Heaven! Came home from the dr. appt, had a 1 egg omelet! Woo hoo! Nothing in it or on it but s&p, but it tasted like ambrosia! I ate all but one bite- oh, and did I say my honey made it for me? Do I hear an "Awwwwwww!"? It seems to be sitting pretty well, too! Tonight I'm making seafood chowder, and will run my portion through the mini-processor.
>Getting a little pushback from my honey on the dog issue...he's afraid of the responsibility. We'll see...
