Default News Flash!

It's official! My hairdresser confirmed! My hair is falling out! Guess I'll need a hat for the wedding after all...or a wig...or a paper bag...
==============
PS...I feel good, I'm down about 78 lbs. Weight loss is slowing down, but I've not had time to get to the gym too much in the last couple weeks because there's a lot of OT at work. Hopefully, next month I'll be able to really get back on track. Thank God next month is close!

I'm so glad you updated us. I've been wondering how you've been doing and really missed reading your posts about yourself. Down 78 pounds in 5 months seems like a lot to me. I hope I can do as well. Congratulations! Maybe it's time for a new picture????

Talking At least I was able to order a 22!

>Getting married Oct. 6th. It's a morning wedding, informal, guys and women in suits. Well, I took a big step this morning and ordered my wedding suit! And I ordered it in a 22- a year ago I would have been looking at a 30! I just into 22's now; I have a terrific seamstress on standby to make alterations in September, because I'm still losing, of course. I have been haunting the website, www.womensuits.com for over a year. I was afraid if I didn't order now, the good ones would be gone. The off-white and ivory ones always go fastest. I ordered the matching hat too. Yup, bald may be beautiful, but not for a bride on her wedding day! Look for the off-white one with the diagonal rows of flowers/trim on the skirt...I think it looks very bridal!
> BTW, it is the first time for both of us. We're a couple of late bloomers, I guess!
>For us, the ceremony itself is the focal point. The entire choir is singing, we're having a small orchestra, strings and brass, with 2 organists. Why 2? That's how many it takes to replace my talented organist fiance'! (He's going to be a bit busy, you see.) Actually, one of his favorite composers is Flor Peeters; he was was also 51 when he got married, and had his 2 best students play. My processional is an arrangement of Old One Hundredth. Praise God from Whom all blessings flow, indeed!
>Sorry, but you're going to get ALL the details! Cake is going to be yellow with an orange filling and a white Italian cream icing done in a basket weave pattern, 4 layers, decorated with Fall flowers- no corny topper! I'll only be able to eat one bite, but Henri will love it!
>I keep telling people it will be PB&J, family-style, at the reception, just going to put smooth and chunky, grape and strawberry on a lazy susan with some white and wheat. I think it sounds pretty good, but I guess we're going to settle for family-style Italian.
>Oh, no garter and no tossing the bouquet! I'm much too old for that stuff, and far too dignified!
>We weren't going to have a guest book, but then decided we better. At our age it won't be too long before we start having trouble matching faces and names!

Hey Cee Cee,
The suit is beautiful..however it will be even more beautiful with you in it! Your seamstress will make it fit really well for the wedding. Good move! Of course a hat will cover any thinness of your hair. For what it is worth, my dermatologist told me to use the men's version of Rogaine and it did stop the shedding. I am so pleased for you.
Blessings,
Mavis
