Default Lori's New "Thinggie" lol

I decided to write a new one because I was getting frustrated last month and went through and totally deleted my posts out of my other "thinggie". Trust me, I won't be doing that again this time around.

So here goes...... I have a doctor's appointment this afternoon at 4:20. I'm going to be asking him if he would give me referrals to the other 3 surgeons I know of in my province that do the surgery. I have the referral form for 2 of them printed out too. lol Yes, I want this done! I know how much my health will benefit from it. I also know how much I will benefit from it as well.

I want to post a pic of myself, but my most favorite one is on my tower upstairs, and I'm on my laptop downstairs. *sigh* I have to beg Shawn to hook our computers back up to the net upstairs. hehehe Hopefully I'll be able to get him to do that for me.

My blood sugars are still being crazy. They were 17 this morning, and now down to 12!!! I'm happy about the 12. 5 points away from the high side of being normal.

I guess that's it for now. I'll post later after the dr's appointment.

Fingers Crossed....be persistant with the doctor...don't take no for an answer!

I too have wanted to go back and delete or edit my earlier posts - those that I type in my emotional times...but force myself not too...I hope that those posts will help others to show how challenging it can get at times!

Went to the doctor and successfully got a referral to 2 surgeons in the same city. My doctor was surprised at how long of a waitlist Dr Nohr has. He was more impressed with the fact that the other 2 don't have such as long of a list. YAY!!!!

I've been feeling crappy the past little while. I have major pain in my very upper chest, and a stabby like feeling in my back on the right side. I also have burning in my throat. Am guessing from all this that I have major acid reflux going on. Also.... when Shawn and I were about to leave his mom's place, I stood up and was SUPER dizzy. What gives with that? I checked my blood sugar as soon as I walked in our door and it said 13.8. If I still feel this way tomorrow I will either be going to the hospital or to a walk in clinic and find out what the fart's going on.

Ok.... my weird pains in my chest are caused by severe heartburn. I remember when I lived in the states, I went to the ER thinking I was having a heart attack... it felt the same. I was diagnosed with having severe heartburn and the two cute ER docs who were taking care of me came to the same diagnosis and recommendation "avoid spicy and greasy food". They gave me liquid zantac to take at that time too and all was well. Sooo.... going back to last night... took a zantac and all the pain went away. That was definitely what my problem was. Had some greasy Chinese for lunch, so I will probably get the heartburn again. Will remember to take the acid reducer pill.
