Bottomed out AGAIN!
Yup..... I bottomed out again.... 3.6 this time. Treated again with 3 glucose tablets and am up to 4.5, but I still feel crappy. I feel as if I could bottom out again. I'll be going to see my diabetes educator tomorrow first thing to get her to lower my dose! I can't be bottoming out everyday.... it's not good!

Lori we've been away on holidays and I was sad to see when I got back that you have been struggling this last week. I know this wait is so hard. I felt like I had made my mind up to have this surgery and to find out the wait was so long was very hard on me.
Keep working on those sugar levels too. You need to keep yourself healthy.
Keep getting those referrals to other doctors. May is really just around the corner and referrals can go into Farries on the first day in may. I have a friend who got a referral to Kaban (Regina) but she has since heard that he is no longer doing the surgery. Not sure what the reason is.
Keep at it Lori. You are your best advocate.

I have referrals in with Dr's Davey and Birch up in Edmonton now too! Still waiting on Norh *sighs and rolls eyes* Can't do anything with Farries until May 1st.
I go back and see my doc on Monday as he wants an update on the blood sugars cause they had to lower my doses of insulin because I kept going hypoglycemic. Not fun.... I get shaky, sweaty, my legs turn to jello, dizzy, hungry, headachey, my heart starts pounding out of my chest, and I get dead tired (usually have a nap after treating the hypo). I'm just soooooo happy that my blood sugars have finally come down into the normal range. I seem to have a lot more energy now, I don't get tired during the day, but by 10:30 at night I'm ready to call it a day. Now if only I could lose some weight pre-surgery. Unfortunately the insulin makes you pack on the pounds.

Glad to hear you have referrals in with several doctors. With the wait times so long, its a very good choice. Nohr these days is slow........I still havent had my phone consult for panni and its been almost 6 weeks.

My cat is psycho! I have proof that she's psycho. I threw my bra off and tossed it onto the loveseat. Miss Mew then jumped up on the loveseat and proceeded to "put on" my bra!!!!!
Told you she was psycho!!!
Laters!!!

OMG OMG OMG!!!! I am soooooooooo excited right now!!!!
In my hands I hold a letter from Capital Health up in Edmonton that states that I am on a waitlist and will be contacted as soon as they have an opening for an assessment!!! WHOO HOO!!!! I honestly believe that my journey has FINALLY begun!!!!
Hehe Glad you liked the pic of the cat, Lisa. I showed it to my mother-in-law tonight and she laughed. She was talking to Shawn on the phone when kitty was trying the bra on.
