I's just excited and had to share this.....

Hubby and I went for a walk around 8:15 tonight. I checked my blood sugars before we left and they were 17.0...... we got home at 8:55 and I checked my blood again..... 8.4 Holy cow!!!! I haven't seen them that low in a very long time! I asked Shawn if we could go for a walk again, and he said tomorrow!!! YAY!!!!!

I's happy!!!

Now we're in for the night..... we're watching Underworld Evolution.

Hi Lori, I am one of the patient ones waiting for Dr Nohr, it has been a long drawn out process but there is a light for me (may 7)

With regards to the acid reflux, ask your Dr for a sample of PREVACID, this is a wonder drug for GERD sufferers! It is not a cheap RX to get but well worth it, one pill a day and you have no heartburn and your esphogeous (?sp) can heal. Where are you in Southern AB??

I'm in Lethbridge..... West Lethbridge to be exact. Very windy here tonight too.

Prevacid huh? Will have to ask next time I'm in.

Default Just an FYI...

Just as a matter of course, they automatically gave me Prevacid every day I was in the hospital, as a preventative, I guess. (Never took it before.) Isn't this one of the ones you can buy OTC now?

Cee Cee, no this is only available on Rx from GP. If you suffer from GERD get some, its amazing! My GP just gave me another 3 mths supply as he said hopefully fairly soon after surgery I won't need to take it anymore!
Also I take some hormone pills to stop me growing a beard(!!!) he said when you are MB you body kicks in more testosterone and you can get hairier, I don't need that as I already have too much european (Italian/UK) hormones in there! The only downside of these pills is that I am not as horny as usual! damn!

Just had to share this one too..... Just checked my blood to see how high it was. It's 6.5!!!! Again, I am in shock.

I am now wondering if my dizzy spells are being brought on by my blood sugars going from like low 20's/high 20's to dropping down into the single digits. I have a bit of a headache too. If this continues this weekend I'll be calling my doc on Tuesday to see what he can do/suggest.

Hi Jen.... yeah... Canadian numbers are different from US numbers..... just multiply the numbers I've been showing you by 18 to get your numbers. Normal by Canadian numbers is 4 - 7.

Tonight, before dinner, my bs was 4.3 (77.4), 2 hours later 4.7 (84.6) I'm actually scared of bottoming out again tonight while sleeping.

I'm going to be sending my diabetes educator my numbers from this past weekend and asking for her help. I know that my doc would be very happy to hear that my numbers are finally DOWN!!! I know I'm happy, just a bit scared too.

*hugs to all*
