Hey Jen! I know i haven't been around much lately, but I think about you all the time. I am sorry to hear that you are having issues right now, but overjoyed to hear that you applied for a new job. isn't it amazing what we will do when we have a little more confidence in ourselves. Just wait until you are a tiny little thing and the world seems to open up to you.

You are a strong and amazing woman! HUGS!

Thanks guys...

Carrie... Va-Va-Va-VOOM.. you are SMOKIN' in your new Avvie! Have I mentioned that I miss you sis?

I really dont feel like I am having issues, or that I am upset with the scale.. I think my emotion key is broke on this darn keyboard. I am pleased with my loss since Surgery.. I am disgusted with my joints, but not even slightly depressed over it... I FEEL FANTASTIC *giggles*

I had to go to physical Therapy for the first time yesterday.. I wasnt all that impressed with what he had to say. First of all, I had told my doc that I wasnt going to see a PT for my shoulder. The last time I had shoulder issues, they dragged that crap out for 5 years (of course it was comp at the time.. but still!).. So, I get there, and the script that the doc sent was for.. (DING DING DING).. my shoulder!

Finally got the pt to understand that I was there for my knee.. he looked it over, then he had me do a full body range of motion...(in case my elbow was causing my knee to hurt.. SWEAR thats what they said. ).. and he then proceeded to tell me I SHOULD be there for my shoulder AND my knee.. and that my shoulder range of motion was horrible. *duh!*.. I said.. KNEE..

He spent a good deal of time manipulating it, and stuff, and said that he thinks there is something torn in it. I told him I figured it just bugged me because I was fat, and because I was born knock kneed.. and he told me that if that was the case, it would be BOTH knees.. not just one..

gave me some excercises to strengthen my thigh and hip muscles, to see if they would take over for some of the knee duties, to alleviate some of the pain, and wants me to come back for a bit.. I am not sure I am going to or not as of yet. Told me to stay off it, and not to do anything more strenuous than walking and the recumbant bike... so I guess I will have to join the gym again to get my excercise in! Was hoping to steer clear of that expense for a while! Maybe I can ask for it from santa!

So, I think I'm calling my doc and see what she says about going back.. altho I think she gets a commission for sending people to therapy, because she was so adamant about it..

I feel great.. other than the pain LOL.. Its so discouraging, to finally GET the motivation to excercise, and then be in horrendous pain when you do it..

Needed to vent I guess (oh yah.. and I did have a thread about it.. but I wanted to put it here in case I ever need the date LOL.. I hit century on Saturday (11/17/07)!!!

Well done on the Century! Good luck with the knee. I had knee troubles, mine have since gotten better with the weight lose. However, it does still act up when I try to do running or aerobics. The only thing that I can seem to do is the Elliptical machine.

I hope that you can get some PT that will actually help you. How frustrating to not be able to be doing what you want to be doing right now.

I havent forgot you guys.. I just need a break sometimes.

I reached 6 months out.. that blows my mind. I am down 78 pounds since surgery... 114 since February. Went from a 32+ in size to an 18.. I look at the next size down.. and think NO WAY will my a$$ ever fit into THAT! I often am hanging clothes and wonder how I got kids clothes in my laundry lol.

I missed my Carries birthday because I was sitting in the surgeons office. Been having some issues... not too serious. I of course can say not too serious now that I am not curled up in a ball crying because of the pain lol. I have a scope tomorrow bright and early, and a CT scan on Tuesday. They are thinking its an ulcer, and started me on carafate (omg those things are HUGE!).. and gave me zofran for vomiting (LOVE LOVE LOVE that stuff!). Since I started taking the carafate.. I havent thrown up nearly as much. I really hope at this point it IS an ulcer... because its easily treated. They are doing the CT scan to look for blockages.... (mostly to rule them out me thinks). They said it would also show hernias if there were any. They are looking for the blockage because I throw up EVERY time I have a BM... the pain is merciless. The surgeon thinks that particular pain is too low to be related to the surgery.

So basically.. thats what I have been doing. Been working insane hours, and playing WOW most nights... (dont tell Trina.. but I may be addicted to that game!.. I cant wait for warmer weather, so I can step away LOL).

I am moving soon, so I have been packing.

Got called some very colorful names for telling the girl that had the surgery the same day as me that she was a hypochondriac.. she was doing just fine, reached goal 3 days before her 6 month mark, no issues. When I told her what was going on with me.. she suddenly developed "extreme issues" (her words), and is having a scope right after me. I really think she isnt happy unless she is having issues... and I had heard enough. I have never thought they should have approved her for surgery (and she knows I feel that way).. I feel kind of bad for telling her what I was thinking, but someone needed to tell her. I try really hard not to make a big deal about the issues I am having.. try not to complain, and would give anything to NOT have to go through the scope and ct scan.. she is downright EXCITED about it.. I just dont get it. (so as bitchy as that may make me sound.. its how I feel lol)

My mom goes for her next surgeon appt Tuesday. It may be her last one before surgery. She is having the lap band. I am so excited for her! Her psych eval is Feb 28th.. so I am thinking she will have it around the end of April.

Sorry to make you all wonder about me.. I will TRY to be better.. I do love you all.. and I miss you. Its so hard to come back and see so many messages.. and know there is NO way I could ever read them all.. so I hope you are all doing fantastic.. <hugz>

Here is my lil black dress.. 6 month pic. (will put in the before for comparison.. )
