I don't have a personal story on here...even though I have been around for awhile. I just need to vent every once in awhile and didn't want to start a new Thread each time...so I thought I would start my own little diary.

I got crap news today and I am sooo sad. I work in Vista and live in Temecula. I have been looking for a new job forever, but can't find one closer to home that pays what I make. A few minutes ago my boss (who works out of our corporate office) called to let my group know that we all have to move down to Carmel Mtn. Holy crap, I already drive 70 miles a day and this is going to make it 90 miles a day. I am sooo sad. My car is leased and I am already at 51,000 miles and I don't turn it in for another 2 years. Can you say $10k in overage. The only consession is that my boss said she will work with me and let me work from home..but she didn't say how often, so I have find out if it will even be often enough to make up for the extra miles...AND DO YOU KNOW HOW BAD THE TRAFFIC IS ON THE 15 SOUTH between the 78 and Carmel Mtn. Rd. My hours are 6-2:30 right now...I am going to have to leave the house at 4:45 to get there by 6 and I still might be late. PLUS, I do not know where there is a drive-thru Starbucks by corporate.

Okay, I feel better just screaming about this in my new diary!

hey there is a drive thur right by the house. Dont tell me you havent found it yet.

man that sucks as far as the drive. I try not to go out of Temecula if I dont have to. We really need to get together. -Dawn

Of course I know where that Starbucks is!!

I just like getting my coffee right before getting to work...so if anyone knows of a drive-thru Starbucks down in Carmel Mtn, give me the info!

first of all take a deep breath. Second the traffic in the area's you are mentioning do not get backed up badly until about 7:30 in the morning. I am not sure if they opened up Ted Williams, but that might be an easier commute if they have. And you would be fine with traffic. Oh and a drive through starbucks, what no exercise?

It is the 15 South (Ted Williams Pkwy isn't in the equation)...and it gets backed up by 6:00am...I know cuz I go onto the 78 off of the 15 South right now and I always see a parking lot ahead of me.

Nope, I will not walk into a Starbucks if I can avoid it!

I can't advise you on routes, Cindy, since I get lost in a brown paper bag, but just have say - luv them drive through SB's!!!!!!!

You apparently haven't learned the back way around it!! The parking lot that happens between the 78 and the North County Mall can be driven around. I've been commuting from Orange County to Pacific Beach now for two months 3 times a week. It can be manageable.. I was just giving you sh%t about not walking into starbucks. Janie

And I'm talking about 15 not 5 because I have to go over to Escondido, first then down to PB.
