Cindy, I just read your recent updates - I'm so sorry about your MIL's cancer. I send her, you, your husband, and family my good thoughts and prayers.
I know what you and DH are feeling right now. My mom is a cancer survivor (diagnosed with Stage 4B cervical and uterine cancer in 2005 and given a "get your affairs in order" prognosis, with only a 40% chance that her chemo would have any effect at all on the cancer at that stage, much less a significant benefit) who is doing fabulously. The chemo and radiation were really rough on her, but she added a lot of alternative therapies, etc. that helped tremendously.
Her oncologist has never heard of a Stage 4B cervical/uterine patient surviving more than two years, but she's more than three years out now and the last CT scan shows "cancer free". I hope things go well for your MIL, too - moms are good to have around! Blessings, love, and best wishes to all of you!
