Isn't it strange that you can always tell when Thanksgiving and Christmas are approaching because everyone's kids start getting sick. My 11-year-old daughter started with a firey sore throat and then threw up last night and crying with aches all over. She was so pitiful. I called my sis-in-law to talk about Christmas gifts for the kids and one of her teenage daughters came in the house crying out loud because she had ball practice and they made her run and she is starting to get the flu or something and was hurting so bad all over. I talked to her on the phone and I teared up with her! I have never heard her sound so bad. Just broke my heart. I wanted to wrap my arms around her and take care of her like I did when she was little.

Cindy, I hope you feel better soon too hon. It's no fun being sick and I am terrified to get sick now that I have had surgery. I will be a crazy person about keeping germs out now.

Can I cry now? My hubby just came home from work puking, and I am getting hot. UGH! So far out of a family of 4...3 are down. Oh shoot me now!

Dear Diary, (oh my God, I haven't written that since I was in school)

I finally lost a pound. It is coming off sooo much more slowly now. I know what I have to do to get it going again...but...hmmm... I think I am losing my mind a wee bit. I have days when I want to lose ALL my weight and go lower then my goal...and then I have days that I am happy at this weight. I think to myself that I have a ton of cute clothes that fit (thanks to Jen and my gf in Viginia) and I feel like I look good... I also think, do I want to lose all the way and start getting too much attention from guys. What if something snaps in me and I turn into a whore like my Mother did when she lost weight. Which in my head I know would NEVER happen since I am married to the most wonderful man in the world....but the anxiety rises when I remember back to my Dad crying over my Mother slutting about. This guy at work said to me last week "you are getting sexy"...I was totally taken off guard...I was flattered and freaked out. ARRRRR...sorry to ramble, these are just some emotions I am going through right now.

Wow, I am sooo tired....been working my butt off today. Went to the grocery store, already made the brine for the Turkey, Corn Chowder, Cranberries (first time from scatch, Broccoli Casserole and the Pumpkin Cheesecake is in the oven....and DAMN it smells good. I still have soooo much to do. Hubby is such an awesome help though. I do all the cooking and he does all the cleaning. He is at football practice right now, but will be cleaning until the wee hours of the night. He is so awesome, I don't know what I would do without him.

Oh, little wow moment...hubby and I took a shower together this morning (I know, TMI)...but we like to sit on the shower floor and just talk...we haven't been able to do that in 10 years...WE ACTUALLY FIT NOW...and hubby is not a small guy.

Hey, I am still lol about the shower! Your so cute! Anyway, sorry I had too much wine last night. I bet I sounded drunk. How embarrassing! Boy, I am regretting it today though. That wine just goes down too smooth, kind of like chips. lol. Gonna have to banish it from my house. Have a great Thanksgiving day..see ya on the 30th.
