Cindy,
Believe me when I say, I've been there. As you know, I lost my Dad just about this time last year. The only way I was able to get thru the tough times was to remember the good times we did have, and not feel sorrow or pitty for the times we would no longer have. This is a time to be close to your friends and family and thank God for the beautiful children you have and protect so dearly. Please know that my thoughts are with you and the kids tonight. Take care love.... It does take time.

Cindy you are so strong. How tough it must be to put your own feelings and emotions on hold so your daughter can have her party. What a great Mom you are. It surely is a testimony to your parents. My sincere condolences on your loss. {{{{HUGS}}}}

My heart goes out to you and your family. Thank you for sharing the picture. He looks awesome in the Hawaiian shirt and has a really great smile. I love to think that is how you will remember him. You're being a great mom this weekend, and a great daughter by honoring him and what he would probably want for his granddaughter, too. Lots of love to you all.

WOW...thank you all sooo much. You made me cry, but in the good way.
I know my Dad is truly in a better place. He was so miserable and unhappy ever since being in the hospital for 5 months last year and losing his leg.
My Sister and I have been cracking up over stories from when we were young. She said "you were always his favorite"... we used to always kid about this, but I really was. The one thing that makes me so sad was that I didn't get a chance to talk to him one last time. It goes to show that you never know when that "last" conversation is going to be and to make each one count.
On a different note, my daughters party was a blast (for her)! It wasn't as terrible as I thought it was going to be...but then again my Hubby was there...my personal superhero! He made me go to bed at 11:45 and he stayed up until they all fell asleep around 1:00am. I love that man more then words can say... losing my Dad makes me start thinking about losing everyone and I am freaking out slightly....
We are telling my kids tomorrow... I was just crying typing this and both kids are asking me whats wrong... tomorrow they will know, but for tonight we are playing Wii for the first time ever...Hubby and I just bought it Friday while shopping at WalMart for last minute stuff for Megan's party. We decided the family needed a present, so hopefully this will keep everyone pre-occupied tomorrow.
