I think it's the blood circulating where it doesn't circulate much! LOL not for sure... just my idea of what I think it is. J

UGH, my baby had eye surgery today. Dang, that was rough. Being in the room with him when they put him to sleep...DAMN, I didn't know it would effect me like that. Mentally today was harder on me then him...he was so tough. BUT, in the recovery room will blood coming out of his eyes and him saying they hurt...oh man...poor little guy. We came home and went to bed and he slept for 5 hours (I will never get him to bed tonight). He is doing sooo much better now that he got that sleep. He is VERY sensitive to light...he has been following us all around turning off light switches...I am sitting here in the pitch dark. I am sooo glad today is over, I have been stressing over this for weeks. Now we are crossing our fingers that what they did worked!
*edit* No flashed was used in taking these pictures.

Cindy,
I'm sorry you guys had to go thru all that. When my son had emergency hernia surgery, I literally felt like my insides were ripped out. All I could do was sit on the floor and sob when they took him from me. It was awful.
On the flip side, the little twerp was sitting up, drinking apple juice and eating crackers right after he woke up from surgery. A child truly has no preconceived notions about how they should be feeling!
God speed for a quick recovery for your son...I truly hope this procedure works.

Awww, the poor little guy! He looks owie.....
What kind of trouble is your baby having with his eyes? I hope the surgery takes care of whatever he has going on. Give your little sweetheart a big mommy-style hug for me.

Awwww Cindy, I'm happy he is doing well and it's over for you. I know it's horrible to have your baby go into surgery. I have had to put my youngest under twice and my oldest under once. It's HARD, no doubt about it and for some reason we feel guilty even though we know it's what needs to be done. I'm happy your little man is okay. Keeping my fingers crossed that the surgery did the trick it was supposed to.

Thanks Tracie, Donna & Trina! He is doing GREAT today...running around here like normal. He is a little sensitive to light, but other then that he's just fine.
Donna - He had muscle surgery. He had zero binocular vision. We are crossing our fingers that the surgery takes.

Thank God for the resilience of kids. He's probably less traumatized than you are!
I hope this surgery will help him, Cindy.

UGHHHH....WHAT WAS I THINKING????? Both my Daughter (9) and Son (7) are having a friend spend the night tonight. I thought it would give their friends parents a chance to party it up on New Years Eve.... then my Sister called and asked me to watch her son too. So we have a house full of screaming kids...at least they sound like they are having fun. They can't wait to try and stay up until midnight. My hubby is so wonderful he has already told me I can go hide out any time I want (love that guy)! At midnight we will go outside and bang pans and scream "Happy New Year"...and until then it is Taco Bell, candy, popcorn, movies, games and whatever else their hearts desire.... I can make it through...right!!!????

Ah...magic words...I'm on my way to help out. I don't know if I can eat any of that stuff...but this is the night to try, right? Especially the Taco Bell, I haven't had that since August!
You'll get through it okay...you got any LorTab? If you feel funny dosing the kids, you can certainly dose yourself and hope they don't burn down the house!
Happy New Year!
-Mike
