Wow Beth, so much insight you have. I came from a very different world than yours, but still one in which I had to come to terms with people doing all they know to do. At some point, part of our healing is forgiving them and knowing deep inside that they couldn't do better and that their behavior was not part of us not being good enough. I am so happy for you that you are learning to accept what is, and become all you are meant to be. Give yourself all the love you deserve.....and we'll send ours your way too.

And on a side note.......any chance you could fly out to CA when I go? How cool would that be!?

Beth, your last poem gave me goosebumps! It's almost like you were reborn into another person through your writings. The first were dark and uneasy and the last was filled with light and fresh air. It seems your mind is having no problem catching up to what is happening in your life. You are doing so great Beth. You should be very proud of your accomplishments and happy with yourself. Thanks for sharing all that you did with us.

Oh Marty, you have NO IDEA how much I would love to do something like that but alas, the money isn't there and the vacation days have been spent. The surgery and a summer vacation ate up everything I had. But one day if I travel off to Ohio, which I have been known to do on occasion I promise I will hunt you down! I would love to meet so many of the people that I have encountered on this great forum. It would be one of the really exciting times in my life.
Thank you again for your words. You too have come such a long ways and it is people like you that have helped me so much as I'm traveling this journey.

Trina, it gives me goosebumps that my poetry touched you! I too can see the progression of my words when I read back through so many of them. My first ones were so dark and filled with such pain but as I became more aware of myself and how my struggles have effected me my poetry really changed. Now when I write, which isn't as often as it used to be, it is usually about the world around me, the joy and the struggles that I see. The blessings of nature and the love that I have for my work and the people I encounter. I am able to look more outside of myself and be thankful for what I have. If you are ever interested in reading more I do have a website where I have posted alot of my poetry. Not many have read it but it is there to share.

Hey, how far are you from me? I will make a road trip myself....maybe while I am off. Or maybe we could drive and meet halfway? The airfare only came to like $250 for roundtripto CA though, so not bad at all.

I don't know exactly where you are in Ohio but I am in western michigan, Grand Rapids to be exact. I am about 3 hours north of Chicago and about 3 hours from Ann Arbor, if that helps at all. *L* I would say that Toledo is maybe about 4 hours away. I would be open to meeting half way.
Nope $250 isn't bad at all. Alot better than I would have thought. My biggest problem is no vacation time from work. The little I had built back up went out the window when I had the breast biopsy. I missed 2 days of work that week too and I have in-laws coming into town from Seattle over Christmas so hubby and I are taking a week off then. I need to save everything I can get my hands on.

Yes, that helps.....it takes me about 2 1/2 hours to get to Toledo. I adopted my kids from that area. So, it should take us no more than 3 1/2 hours each......and maybe less. That isn't bad at all! Let's try and figure it out sometime when you get stuff situated.

I would love to, Marty!! I'm not sure what is down that way but I'm sure we could figure out a good place to meet. Ann Arbor may be the best bet, except I haven't spent much time there so I wouldn't have any idea where to set up a place to meet. *L*
PS: hmmm...just did a mapquest to see how long it claims that Toledo is and it is telling me it is more like 3 hours! I guess it is a bit closer than I thought. *L*

So, we could easily meet sometime! Ok, you let me know when things start looking like you could get away and we'll work on it. Ryn is in Illinois....maybe she could meet too!
