The number on the scale, is just a number...your health is what speaks volumes...although 165lbs is nothing to sneeze at!
Size 14 - too bad we didn't live closer, we could share clothes !
So proud of you sweetie....lets go into this next year together and one of much greater health!

Lisa, I couldn't have a better podmate!! I have so appreciated you from my first day on this forum. It has been an honor to travel this journey with you. I have seen my struggles and accomplishments in you. It has helped me more times than you probably ever know reading your thoughts on this journey. You are a wise woman who looks at things with an open and honest mind. I so appreciate that in you.
I am as proud of you as I am of myself. And together we will remain!

Between Twilight and Dawn
Between Twilight And Dawn
A rain dance upon my bedroom window,
endeavored to nudge me from sleep.
As the night gave birth to morning,
I burrowed under the covers in retreat.
Nestled in that impervious time,
between the twilight and the dawn.
Winsome notions and tranquil visions,
of a life of happiness, were spawned.
A soft face, filled with a brilliant smile,
any furrows had been tenderly erased.
Beckoned me with a warm, extended hand,
to join her in a secure and peaceful place.
My eyelids fluttered, as I resisted awaking,
refusing to relinquish what played, in my mind.
Longing to grasp the hand of the stranger,
entranced by the possibilities I might find.
As my arm stretched forward, my hand trembled.
Our fingers brushed softly, as I awakened to see,
that the hand and face, I so fervently longed for,
was reflected back in the mirror, before me.

Another step on my journey
This evening I am leaving to go and have 2 days of training to be a support group leader. I'm nervous and excited about all of this. Sometimes I question if I really can lead a support group. I mean who am I? I've never been what is known as a "leader". I'm very much a one-to-one type person. Groups scare me...they always have. This all is such a change of thinking for me. I just hope I'm ready for it....
Keep me in your thoughts, everyone.

Beth, whether you know it our not, you have been my leader, my friend, my confidant not to mention my podmate for over a year now! I too wished I lived closer to get in on the hug session!
Just think in your sessions how you have impacted thousands here, its just a little different doing it in person. You will do great...can't wait to hear about it.
PS: we weigh exactly the same now!

Lisa and Marty, I SO WISH the 2 of you lived closer!! I need a partner to help me in this adventure! I have so much going on in my head right now. I honestly don't know where to start with all of this. This new support group has pretty much been thrown into my lap and I so wish I had someone to bounce ideas off from and someone just to hold my hand. I received tons of information, ideas, theory, resources, etc....but its so much I can hardly wrap my head around it. Basicly I've been told to pick a day to start, get flyers out and go for it! Sheesh...all I can tell you is that my anxiety level has shot through the roof! I have the 2 women who instructed me to call for questions but I have to be honest I'm feeling kind of alone with this whole thing and I just don't want to mess up. ....my insecurities are showing here. I just pray this group starts out really small because it honestly has the potential of getting really big, really fast. *gulp* HELP!!!!!!

wow what a story and what a great read. As werid as this might sound I was actually entertained reading you're story. haha I know I know werid.
You have come such a long way. You have to be proud of yourself cause I know we are. 170lbs down in a year is serious business especially for women who seem to hang onto fat a little better than us men.
Mind me asking what you're program was as far as exercise and eating?
