wow, been a really long time since i updated...on a personal level have had many things going on, but too complicated to spill my guts, so i will just say, i am maintaining at 110-115 pounds...joined a new gym today, want to train for the half marathon (13 miles) in may and then do the full marathon next year. (not sure if i will be ready by may, i am only at 9 miles a day now and have to walk the rest) I am working on building muscle mass, i like the look of muscles against my t-shirts in my long sleeve shirts and i want to be like Gina when i grow up!..love her arms!

i have to be very careful of what i eat as i know i am the body type that puts back on weight, if i eat the right things i am fine, if i stray i gain and if i dont eat enough i lose, so always doing the balancing act and feel like a juggler, but its fine...nothing i cant handle!

been struggling with my vitamin levels, on new and higher doses of them and get them checked again next month to see if that is helping

have been popping in here more and plan to more often, see ya around!

I don't do 9 miles! 6.4 is my limit thus far. It takes me about an hour, maybe and hour and 10 on a bad day, but I don't know yet how I'd get to 13 miles - that is impressive!

The arms are just science. Lift the right way, you get that defenition. I have some genetic thing going on, but nothing that special. You can certainly do it with how low your weight is - your body fat should be pretty good. My sucks. Anyway, I haven't decided if I'm going to scare men away with my arms or not - I think I'll find out soon though.

Glad to see you posting!

Default Biotin

Hi everybody, I'm pretty new to the forum. Received approval today from the insurance company for my lap RNY. Excited and scared. Next step is the pre-surgical testing, 14 days of liquids and then surgery.

Has anybody ever been told to take biotin as a nutrient replenisher. I was told that you hair could fall out due to not enough nutrients and this OTC would help prevent that. Also helps with the skin color?

Thanks for being here. I have a feeling I will be asking a lot of questions in the next few weeks.

Default Good luck on th hair/biotin

theres also a hormon factor that can't be regulated. HOrmon is stored in our fat cells, when you have rapid wieght loss like with RNY the body takes months to catch up with the hormon levels. Just a thought. not to discurage you from taking biotin...I take it daily and it does help with the nails.

Carrie glad to see you around. You and I are the same build and height and I know I feel much better at 115 to 118, which is were I land. The fact that you can eat is awesome after the rough patch you went through last year.

Good luck on the running..... you will do it!

Hi there Sweet Carrie! I've sure missed you on the board. I'm happy that you are enjoying challenging your body and having it respond the way you want.

I hope some of your personal and interpersonal relationships have improved, giving you some well deserved peace of mind. You deserve to be so much more respected than just being your childrens' chauffeur.

As always, if you would like to give me a call and have a good long ventfest, I am here to listen. If you don't still have my number, pm me and I will be happy to give it to you! You did it before and it sounded like you felt better afterwards--let's try it again!

Love you, Dear!
