OH Carrie I don't know what to say. Just wanted you to know that I am still here and very worried about you. I so wish I was closer too so that I could help out anyway I could. Thank you so much to Leah for helping to keep tabs on things and just generally being a support for you Carrie.
The 15th can't here quick enough for any of us but especially you Carrie.
Thinking of you girl!!!!!!

They need to give you an iv with a banana bag and a good sized hit of dilaudid and or morphine, allergic to morphine, found this out the hard way with my GBS or at least some toridol. There is no excuse for them not getting moving on providing some serious analgesia. Some docs are stingier than others, but I think if you pushed (or even ask--Carrie, you are so stoic!) they would be more than willing to advance your pain control to the next level. when they hear i have tramacet at home, they wont give me anything else, even when i tell them i dont take it during the week as i cant function, they tell me to use tylenol (joke!)Take it; they'll give it and then you surrender to the chemistry. When pain, stress, and fear start gaining power it's time to line up a replacement parent and give over to the pain. Talk to a friend or family member, and ask them to take as many of your kids that you need to not worry about for a day or two, and you just surrender to the drugs. Take just enough to induce body numbness and if anything changes, make a new plan based on what it feels like. Give your body a chance to recharge and heal while you sleep. Stay hydrating--you do not want to get dehydrated right now! i went back this morning and they gave me a bag of IV, hopefully that will hold me til tuesday and after my HIDA scan i can go get more fluids Makes IVs impossible, you feel absolutely turdy, and infection gets a foothold.
You need a vacation from your body right now. drinking/eating as much protein as possibleGet as much protein in as you possibly can; it is vital to growing new blood cells to fight the infection brewing within you. You stay in bed, with the kids in the bed also if you have the room and watch a movie (if you drop off you won't be insulting any of them, and they will be distracted) or ask them to squeeze your feet. I don't think anyone on this forum would blame you one bit if you pushed the envelope with your pain pills and you took a nice long nap over the weekend. did this last weekend and it helped me get through this week If the pain worsens, or if blood is coming from any orifice, natural or man made--seek medical attention! thats why i went to the ER, and they gave me an antibiotic, knew i was dehydrated, but sent me home with instructions to drink plenty of fluids, they know i cant, they have my very thick folder of all the times i come in there lately and yet, nothing, but i still kept going hoping someone would listen, and now so glad that tuesday is only 3 sleeps away If the pain worsens or you can't pee, get medical attention!

thank you so much Donna for all your suggestions and advice, you have been wonderful to me

Carrie, thought of you lots today, had Carrie dreams (all good) last night. My cell didn't ring, so I was hoping to find that you had fluids or even better they kept you in the hospital. 3 more sleeps and they can't come fast enough.
