Told Carrie Id post an update.
She almost made me cry. She is very excited... She said.. and I quote.. "Farries is AWESOME!!!". He cant believe she has gone this long without treatment. He is ordering the HIPA thing asap.. (probably TOMORROW!). She will see him the same day she has the scan. He thinks it is a herniated bowel. AND gall bladder. He talked her into pain pills. Tramacet. She hates pain pills... so Im not sure how long she will take them. She is in a 12 out of 10 pain. and LAUGHING she is so relieved that someone is going to do something.
Dr. Farries said that if it is bowel it is a very major surgery. More major than GBS. She is leaning toward letting Farries do it if it is gall bladder, and having Nohr do it if it is bowel. Farries is going to be in direct contact with Nohr.
So.. FINALLY!! We get good news on my carrie!

Carrie, Sweetheart
I am so glad that you finally have some answers and plans for this awful pain. I bow to your superior pain tolerance, my gut trouble gave me a whole new pain scale, for you to go this long without tells me you are one touch grrl! The surgery they're talking about is wicked, and I don't know whether to say yay or boo, just like Lisa. I guess I just hope that the resolution of this bad time is as painless and nondebilitating as is possible. My thoughts are with you and I will send you strong-woman energy.

I am rooting for gall bladder. If it is an internal hernia with bowel, hopefully it will be open, snip and close without a bowel resection. Crossing my fingers.

she made it sound like he suspects both are causing issues. He thinks diseased gall bladder AND herniated bowel.
BOTH are open surgeries there by the way.. but I like your open snip close thing.. I hope it is just that simple...

She IS tough! Im telling you.. I have heard her talk herself through pain. She doesnt believe in pain killers (even tylenol)... would rather be the one in contorl of the pain.. not the pain controlling her. its insane!
I told her.. that when I am in pain.. I am in control of it too.... I control it by taking meds!

So glad to hear someone is listening....why now is Farries being ok....maybe an off day the other day with her.
Not so good about the bowel, good to deal with pain and fix things.
