I'm so glad she went in for help. I hope they get it right and she will be out of pain soon. Jen, text her a word for me--DILAUDID. It actually does put a dent in this kind of pain. I'm thinking about her, hoping for a good outcome soon.

Carrie is home. Didnt find anything yet. (In the 2 minutes that Farries took doing the scope.. shes THRILLED about that let me tell you.. ) AFTER he had a hissy fit because he doesnt do other peoples patients (altho... she is unsure on whether or not he does his nurses).

She needs an ultrasound (hes looking at the one she has and deciding if that is sufficient).. they are looking back at the gall bladder... that nothing was wrong with for the last 2+ months. Supposed to see Farries next week, probably holding out for Nohr. He told her in the meantime to come in and get fluids as she needs them.

They gave her the results of the CT scan, but she was stoned, and doesnt remember the results, she thinks everything was "normal".

Will advise when she is feeling up to getting on the puter.. and has her anger issues reeled in.

And she says... "Thank you for your well wishes... yell em loud!"

I think we need to look at the positives in this situation. He may not be HER doctor, but he does gastric bypass and with her situation, he was the only doctor that could understand her inerds. He may be an A**, but the main concern here is Carrie's health. If he didn't find anything with the pouch and "maybe" not in her pouch, this could be good news. They wouldn't have released her if her life was in jeopardy.

Now saying that, I am pissed that they can't find out what is going on. Her own doctor needs to take more of a proactive approach to helping her and getting her a specialist that will see her and diagnose this problem. She can't go on like this forever.

I think you can live almost anywhere and deal with these issues. Knowing Carrie, she is not taking this well, and doing her best to kick their butts feeling as crappy as she is.

So happy its not a leak or pouch issue. Fingers crossed that they can take some steps to get this resolved. Maybe a call to her PCP tomorrow to double check the results of the cat scan....She had her gallbladder checked a while back and apparently clear. What the **** is going on..........I am SO puzzled.

Take care sweetie. Rest, get in fluids and keep us posted.

she said the scope took 2 minutes.. and it should have taken 6... and he was furious that she wasnt his patient.. throwing things and having a real fit

Edit: Lisa.. dont take offense.. Im not saying Canada is bad... Im very frustrated with the level of care I have been watching her get.. or not get really in this case... dont take it personally ok?

surgeons are assholes. (Sorry Dyann, most are). I am so mad. I understand Lisa that you are used to this caliber of care but we aren't. She should have answers a LONG time ago. I am so frustrated and angry that she has been going through this for so long with no relief. It wouldnt have gone this far in the U.S.
I'm gonna sign off for now. I'm just angry over this.
Carrie, I love ya hon. (wub you!) I hope you get answers soon. I swear I am gonna drive up there kidnap you. Hang in there sweetie.

Its one of the biggest issues here with very few GBP doctors. The main reason I didn't go to Mexico, nobody who would deal with me if I had complications. Its a real piss off. Farries, does have a reputation for having an attitude..but saying that in Carries situation, she needed help.
