Farries doesnt do his own scopes, ordered through the hospital, another appointment to be made to get one, dont know for sure that he would have seen me, they were hoping he would if i was admitted, if i have to wait, i want to wait for nohr, i am scared of someone else scoping me, and if i had to have another surgery, i want that to be done by nohr, he knows where he put my insides.......its a major trust issue with the red deer docs, too much bad history here.
yup about 4 hours, 3 and a bit if i drive like i normally do, but i may not be driving - leah (daisy) has offered to come with me, such a sweetheart and i may take her up on that....my mom is away for two weeks and my other friend whom i can rely on for help is away for a week, so Leah has offered and keeps tabs on me too.

just to be clear, i have no problems with being admitted, i just want it to be where my surgeon can do the scoping etc whatever he has to do, fine with me, i am not objecting to care, i just want appropriate, good care.

just got a call, i have been waiting to hear from a doctor in calgary for the breast reduction/lift, thinking it might be faster to get in there , get this 3-year wait, glad i am on the list lol
as for the doctor in red deer, same time frame, so i am on both lists now, at least by that time my weight will have stabilized and i will be more than ready for that surgery
one more hour, and i get to see my doc, will post after that.

Carrie, if you do end up in the hospital in the Hat, I'll be there on Friday. Shawn and I want to do some shopping, and they have a much nicer mall than they do here in Lethbridge. hehehe
I really do hope that everything will be answered for you today at your appointment. Oh shoot!!! I forgot to make my dr's appointment myself. *blushes* Tomorrow..... *rolls eyes*
Sending you lots of positive vibes!
*hugs*

Didn't have the choice for MY surgeon to do my gallbladder surgery, as he's in Texas, but was adamant that the person who took my gallbladder out have performed the surgery on gastric bypass patients. Because it's a fairly common complication, he reassured me that he had done so, and I let it go forward. I get the idea of trust issues with docs. People who have your life in their hands should know what the heck they're doing and not just assume that they know.
Hoping to hear some resolution soon.

Oh Carrie....... I feel sooooooo bad for you.
How on earth can they lose your CT results????? And it sucks that Nohr took time off until the 24th. Doesn't he know you need him??????
Not much I can offer you, except more hugs.
*even more hugs*

Love you Baby sis!
Girl.. you know my opinion.. just wanted to give you public support. You know what you have to do... and you will do it. You will not like it.. you will get over that part.... and you will be alive to tell about it. You KNOW how you feel.. and that you feel bad enough to let Ferris have some clerk scope you (laughs.. ok.. NOT a clerk.. wtf do they call them? Scopeologists?) but you know what I mean.) THere is ALWAYS the option of coming to stay with me til you get better I am dying to know what you decided.. tonite or tomorrow for going in to the hospital. Either way, isnt going to make that much diff since you cant get scoped til at the earliest tomorrow. BUT.. the whole point of getitng ready for it... hard decision love. Remember to smuggle the phone.. dont leave it on... text me your number in your room if you have one and you stay (and we both have a feeling you will)... And go kick the xray clerk in teh shin.. it will make you feel better. I am sure the CTs will appear once they get you in the hospital and sort of compliant. (Sort of). You know you have my well wishes, hugs, and love... and ear.. ANY time of day or night..!! I love ya little sis... keep us posted!

oh let the poor kitty out, that is so sad!
for all that dont know my doc suggested to go back to the ER here and let Farries deal with me, scope.surgery, whatever he thinks i need, however he did say to go to ER if i didnt want to wait for Nohr to return, he was not the nicest today, he did say if it was a leak i would be seriously ill and on the floor needing emergency surgery, however, upon doing some research, there is a type of leak that can be treated with antibiotics, could be that i have that type, if it is a leak....sucks when we know more than doctors eh?
anyway, i think my only option at this point is to go back to the ER here and see Farries, he will be on duty in the morning supposively, so i will go early like 5ish maybe and get fluids, admitted, etc so that by the time he gets there i will be ready for whatever it is he decides to do, except let a clerk take a scope..lol, thanks Jen, you always seem to make me laugh.
thanks for all the well wishes, thanks to jen you all will be informed of whats going on as i can update her.....and thank you to leah who has offered to do anything i need her to do, for me or my kids, very kind, thank you so much!
