i have been getting alot of comments lately -all nice ones towards my changes

a mini-wow-moment for me was the other day, my hubby and i went to our finance guy (hadnt seen him in a year) to set up our rrsp, anyway, when we walked into his office, he looked at me and said, where is the rest of you (i thought he meant the kids, so i said the kids are at moms its just the two of us) he said, no no no, the rest of You and motioned up and down at my body.

one of my uncles keeps telling me i look like a school girl, not old enough to have kids their ages

my best friend was away for a month jan-feb and when she got back the other day, she didnt recognize me, she was waiting for me, and when i walked in she looked right passed me, then my son walked in, after me, she was wondering where i was, i went up to give her a hug and she was shocked, didnt even know it was me, i think that too sometimes when i look in the mirror

at xmas time at my sisters we had our family pics done, when she emailed them to me, i thought someone had cut me out of the pictures, i couldnt find myself, i was always the one that overshadowed everyone in the pictures, and i couldnt see me and was upset that someone would cut me out, but i saw my outfit in the picture and thought wait a minute thats my outfit, omg that is me

it doesnt seem real sometimes, but i am seeing the difference now, i have a waist line, i can fit size 10 pants, i like to wear real shoes not just sneakers, and not to mention i am 9 pounds from doctors goal.

Yippeee Carrie...9 pounds, so amazing. We see all your pics and your changes as do people that see you all the time, but isn't it fun when people don't recognize you. I get a kick out of it when they sit across a room and stare at me, wondering if I look like someone they know or do they figure out its me. At first it annoyed me, now its kinda fun.

WOW...still can't believe how well you have done in such a short time. Amazing girl !

had another friend that i hadnt seen since before surgery not recognize me, she stood beside for a long time at hockey last night before she finally asked, Carrie is that you? I didnt realize she was standing there, too busy watching my sons team win their do or die game to make it to the championship, which they did, btw.

okay so as you know i was treated for what doc thought was inner ear, when that didnt seem to get better and once i finished the antibiotics for that, i went back to him, had my bloodwork done to find out, i have major vitamin deficiency, that would explain my dizziness, tiredness, weakness, vomitting due to gallbladder as well - so he put me on what i think is major vitamin overload as his theory is to "dump an excessive amount in" my body to see if my body will absorb any of it, in two weeks if my levels have not improved, he suggests iv therapy to level them out, then to go to injections

i am also anemic now too

so i am getting my 8-10 cups of fluids a day, 70-100 grams of protein per day, and a major dose of vitamins - thinking that should do it, and going to the gym - he advised me to increase my calories to 1400, i easily do 1000-1200 now, so increasing it more scares me

as for weight loss, i seem to be dropping like crazy which is great, but makes me wonder if that was not a sign to there being something going on with me, like vitamin deficiency, so i am paying close attention to what my body is doing and keeping contact with my family doc.

3 pounds from goal now too (got 142.9 on the scale this morning)
