5 months post op as of yesterday and 13 pounds from goal

doctors goal is 140 (that would give me a normal BMI) i would like to see 130, so we will see how that goes.

still struggling with getting the required fluids

hair is still coming out in clumps, its now noticable to others, a mom from my sons hockey team commented on it - i am praying it stops falling out soon, although i do have new little growth, but boy it sure falls out faster than it comes in, at this rate i dont know how i wont go bald, and of course the grey hairs dont fall out, my mom commented on how many grey hairs i have now, as my hair is sooo thin you can see all flaws.

hate going to the gym now, but still doing it, enjoying it once i get there, but why is going such a chore?

oh man, i went to post this and it said i wasnt logged in, lost half of my post, when i copied and pasted it, i will try to remember the rest and add it to it, it was very long

25 grams of carbs can be realistic to me on a non-workout day but on a workout day, i feel like a need a boost to get through my workouts, otherwise i burn out half way through, so i eat an atkins advantage bar 1/2 before my workout and 1/2 after (hungry afterwards)... as atkins bars have 20 grams of carbs i keep my workout day carbs intake under 35 grams so that i can include veggies. I dont count the bar as a meal, i count it as a snack, and that puts me at 1300 calories a day on workout days.

i found two new foods that i love, broccoli slaw (hate coleslaw) but broccoli slaw is very good, it is found in the bagged salads isle in all grocery stores here, and sweet potato fries (costco), had chicken and 6 fries of these last night for supper, so good and filling.

i wanted to thank everyone here as with this board i feel that i am not alone on this journey and without all you i would be so lost.

Oh Carrie, you are doing so wonderful. 13 pounds...good for ya girl. I agree, its nice to have a goal from the doctor, but realistically we know our own body and need to adjust. I have my range from 160-180, and many might see that as high, but it works well for me. I would like to be on the low end and aiming for that....I find that we all need to have challenges and goals regardless of what stage we are at.

Fluids...I agree...almost always an issue. Today I sit with 3 on my desk...to keep me in tune - water, propel and hot cocoa. Had to have 3 bathroom visits already.

I hope to meet you in person one day.....heck, I would love to meet everyone here...must keep buying lotto tickets so WE can go!
