dilema
okay so i joined the gym last week and went faithfully everyday, and again this week (cant believe it myself) funny thing is i actually enjoy it, my arms are burning right now from the tri/bicep workout today and my legs feel like jello, but i went and i am doing it.
my dilema, my trainer invited me to join the gyms 12-week challenge (it starts March 1st) so i have some time to get myself ready (get my routine figured out and hopefully figure out how to eat enough to keep myself energized throughout the workout.) Anyway there will points given for weight loss, body fat% changes, inches, etc. (and prizes for the winners, i dont expect to win, but im thinking it may keep me motivated to go and do my workouts everyday.)
Im not sure that i should sign up first of all, is it fair to everyone else?, with this tool i have i cant overeat therefore i wont gain weight (muscle mass excluded)...however, i also look at it this way, i cant eat enough to fuel my body right now and burn out and struggle to finish my reps and sets (i finish them but boy is it hard and i am exhausted afterwards).
I am totally struggling to hit 1200 calories and doing 1-1.5 hour workouts each day, plus abs everyday on top of that.
as for the weight loss, another plateau, i lost 2 pounds last week after one week of workouts and today, i am up two pounds (muscle weight? i hope so)
anyway, looking for some thoughts on the fairness to others if i joined a weight loss/fat loss/muscle gain challenge...any comments welcomed and appreciated, thanks.

Carrie... I knew I loved you for a reason Your caring for everyone else is so sweet... Girl, if they know what is what with you, and are inviting you to play.. I say GO FOR IT!! If they dont know about your situation.. maybe you should tell them (because with your heart, you wouldnt feel right if you didnt!).. You arent at the "Fastest" weight loss rate anymore... and who knows if there is some freak working out twice as much as you... that is going to kick your butt! *grins* YOU have the chance, and the ability to strut a bit.. and challenge yourself, and get healthier alllll at once..

thanks Jen, they do know about my surgery and they still invited me to join in the challenge, there are some freaks at that gym that are totally outrageous with their workouts, some amazing women body builders and even my trainer, she is competing in a figure competition in May so she is busting her butt to get in shape (like she isnt now? was my thought) if only i looked as half as good as her, wow.
its not just based on weight loss - and with the muscle i am gaining weight now anyway, i think it would be fun just to take part and like i said earlier it may make me stay motivated...and actually still work out everyday....but i am a competitive nut as well so i know i will take it seriously as well...we will see, i have a few weeks to decide, i will see how well i get my workouts down pat, there are so many machines that are part of my workout i havent got them all figured out yet, having to change the handles and weight and the seat height and the leg height and and and oh my gosh so much to remember.
heres a pic of me taken tonight by son, i didnt even know he had my camera phone, so i was caught off guard, my little doggy is Gracie.

Carrie. You look sexy in your new avatar. I love your doggie. SO CUTE! I prefer big dogs myself but still love dogs of all sizes.
As for the challenge... go for it! What do you have to lose except for pounds and fat, right?! Love ya sweetie!

Great new avatar Carrie!!!!!
I too say go for it. You are losing at what people would consider a normal rate and I don't think it would be considered "cheating" at all.
Like you say it will definitley keep you motivated for the next 12 weeks or so. They wouldn't have asked you if they didn't want you to participate.
Let us know how it goes. We will be rooting you on.

okay, i did it, i comitted myself to sign up for the challenge - sign up is on Feb 20 - they do before/after pics, fat measurements and all that. Points are for muscle gain and fat loss. They dont feel i have an advantage over others and actually feel i am at a disadvantage due to not being able to take in enough to stay powered through my workouts at first, but hopefully this is something that will improve. And now this gives me a motivation for sticking to it as well.
thank you to everyone that has been encouraging me, you all mean so much to me and i appreciate the support, could not do this without yous.
