Carrie, congrats on the great weight loss, and being a light-weight....thats even more of an accomplishment. I am very proud of you for getting in all your protein from food. Not an easy thing, but you managed.

yes I did warn you about emotions, but is very hard to describe isn't it? It gets so, so much better.

Even if you can get in 20-30 mintues of walking a day (is there a mall to walk in?) it sure made me feel good....hard to know if it contributed to weight loss, but for well being and health it helped. I am having a hard time getting in walking outside very much as its so dam cold....I have to resort to other exercise, which I have to force myself to get to.

Keep going girl!

i have tony littles glider machine in my living room and am using that at least 4/week

dont have time to go to the mall, always on the go from 730am until sometimes up to 11pm with kids activities, housework, work, checking in on my mom and doing what i can to help her as well (she had another surgery last tuesday). And so i am on the glider while supper is cooking in the evening and this week i will try to do it when i get up, meaning getting up at 530am to get in a workout...i am going to try that route instead of trying to fit it in somewhere in my day, thought i would start my day out that way, we will see how it goes...wish me luck.

i stay off the sidewalks here in the winter, had a major fall and broke some bones one year, so thats why i decided on an exercise machine, and hoping soon to be able to purchase a treadmill...i have a weight machine in my basement and plan to start that soon, just want to start on cardio and get a routine down and then add that in too.

Default approaching 12 weeks out update

Beginning Date: 9/11/06 Current Date: 12/5/06 Weeks Out: 12

Beginning Weight: 222 BMI: 39.3 Current Weight: 172 BMI: 30.5

well there it is, my results at 12 weeks out, what i have learned

sip dont drink

wait the full 30 minutes not 25 not 27 not 29 but 30 minutes if not more before you drink after eating

food sucks - i dump on almost everything - fish and chicken is okay, but other things like cheese, milk, potatoes, pasta and red meat, make my heart race, and give me a floating head feeling and make me want a nap

cannot wait to have salad, hope it is as good as i want it to be

still hate yogurt, even worse than before surgery

all my weight that has come off has come off my face, my fingers and my feet, although i went from a size 24 top to a 16 top and a 22 bottoms to a 16bottoms, lots of inches, but oh yucky skin, gross gross skin and rolls and yup just gross

i am now taller too - who woulda thunk that? now 5'3" not 5' 2 1/2"

my feet went from a 10 to a 9 and even an 8 1/2 in some shoes, so weird, but great to have smaller shoes!

Carrie, Can you share with me what you normally eat in a day? I have yet to find a protein supplement that doesn't make me sick, and I am trying to get in my protein thru foods alone but I don't think I'm doing a good job. Since you are getting yours in, knowing what you're doing would really help.

Thanks
Lori

most days it looks like this

breakfast - egg with melted cheese, sometimes add sausage or deli meat chicken breast in it to make it like an omelet

lunch - chili made with lean ground beef or chicken
or turkey pepperoni and cheese string

supper - salmon filet or a chicken breast, sometimes a carrot if i have room

i drink s/f nonfat caffeine free lattes, chicken cup of soups, crystal lite, propel and nestea zero and sometimes a bit of a strawberry julius, i also suck the juice out of an orange, i dont eat the skin, too hard on my pouch

i eat s/f popsicles and creamsicles

i have not found a protein powder/drink that i can tolerate either, going to another health food store this weekend they are suppose to have some better stuff, will let you know what i find

i use fitday.com to track everything i put in my mouth - if you are not using fitday, please check it out, it takes all the guess work out of trying to figure out whether or not you are getting in what you are suppose to be

Wow Carrie has it been 12 weeks already. It seems like yesterday that I stumbled on this website. You were just starting your journey and now look at you just melting away. You will be at goal before you know it. Hang in there and eventually your mind will catch up with your body. You are doing so well and such an inspiration for me. Your avatar looks great! What a difference I see.
