Default South Side

I am also a BIG fan of South Side works..... there's a cheesecake factory, and a ton of restaurants on the south side.

I'm a "ditto" on Kennywood. As much as I love it, I definitely don't have the energy to do it anytime soon....I'm much too drained physically from the surgery itself.

Its like y'all are talking Chinese, lol. Are these parts of town or actual cities?

I like PF Changs, Dave and Busters, although fun has crappy food. I was hoping to find a place that woould allow us to have a big table and give us lots of time too talk, swap stories, take pics, etc.

I like how y'all are getting the creative juices flowing. So do we do a Saturday or a Sunday? Since I wil be driving 3 hours or so, I would prefer a Saturday. Evening is ok too, I can make a day of it, or even overnight it!

I think the Waterfront is probably the easiest place to get to. I PF Changs or Mitchell's Fish Market are my two votes for where to go.

I can do either a Sat or Sun. Doesn't really matter to me.

Lol Bridget, I can see how you'd be lost in the conversation. The Waterfront and South Side Works are both big shopping areas. Kennywood is an amusement park, and Sandcastle is a water park. Homestead is within Pgh city limits (I think), but it's just the name of that particular area. (Just like in San Diego where you have your different areas...Gas Lamp District, La Jolla, Coronado, etc)

I also vote for a Saturday...doesn't matter what time.

Normally, I'd absolutely love PF Changs...however, is the menu varied enough to acomodate all of us, with our various stages of gastric bypass? With all of the sauces, etc on Chinese food, that might be a problem. Also, does everyone like Chinese food?

Mitchell's Fish Market sounds very good...but again, does everyone like seafood? Their non-seafood choices are very limited.

TGI Fridays has a pretty varied menu...salads, chicken, pork, steaks, seafood, soups, etc.

Damon's (normally known for their delicious ribs) also has a pretty varied menu...salads, chicken, pork, steaks, seafood, soup, and they also have grilled chicken and steak on their Kid's menu for those of us that are still eating very little.

I checked out the menu's online for all of the restaurants above...and it seems like TGI Friday's and Damon's have the most varied menus that would acomodate all of our various eating stages. Thoughts everyone? Any other suggestions?

edit: I just checked out the menu for Uno Chicago Grille, and they also have a very varied menu...salads, chicken, steaks, soup, seafood, etc. I never knew they served all of that stuff...I always gravitated straight toward the deep dish pizza in the past.

Uno's is the devil. They screw up every time I go.

I'm driving 3 hours as well so Saturday would be perfect, and honestly I don't even care about the food part--I just want to meet ya'll!

Of course you can come!

Basically, we're all waiting for someone to pick a restaurant, and a date.

I vote for a Saturday, and Mitchell's Fish Market.

Okay everyone, speak up with your choice of date and restaurant.

How does July 19th sound for everyone around 4ish? That gives us about a month to figure out where, and for everyone to make arrangements. Maybe once we get a date we can do a poll for restaurant choices???
