Old School ThinnerTimes chick in PA
Hi ya folks! I wanted to say Hi! I am Bridget, I have been a member of the thinnertimes forum for 4 years. (This was started 4/04 before that we had a yahoo forum.) I am one of the original kids to get things started!
I am originally from San Diego, CA and moved to PA 3 days ago! I am very excited about facilitating alot of the same gatherings here on the East Coast as we did as a thinner times family on the West Coast. Let me know if interested. Whitney, aka Coptergirl lives in New York and knows other TT peeps. I am sure that she will not hesitate to work with me on this venture!
Stay tuned for the FIRST ANNUAL THIINERTIMES FAMILY MEET AND GREET! )As soon as the snow clears and it warms up a bit.) So, we will have a couple of monts to get it all organized.
I am in Lancaster County, I live in Terre Hill. I dont know who is near, but I am looking into starting up another SUPPORT GROUP! I will keep y'all posted. It wont start up until March or April, til then I am looking for area hospitals that do them.
I am excited to be the first PA poster on this portion of the site! Always a first! Woo hoo!
Talk to y'all later!

hi Bridget..my name is Karen I am 45 and I live in Harrisburg, so I don't live far from you. I just joined this Thinertimes family because I am in desperate need of support from people who know where I have been and how far I have traveled. I am an emotional eater and sometimes find that I drift back into my old ways. My surgery was February 1, 2007 so in one year I have only lost 60 lbs, but everyone says I look great. I was hoping for 100 lbs by now. I was 253 lbs when I had surgery. Any support would be appreciated along with anyone who just wants to chat. Thanks for listening and I look forward to talking with people who understand.

Hi, I am new also and am having problems loosing weight. Everyone says I look good, but I still am wearing big clothes and I gained some weight. I have been working hard this week, watching what I am eating because I see my family doctor tomorrow and he has been so proud of my progress and now I am going backwards. I was hoping to loose more too instead of gaining and now I would be happy to figure out why I feel so hungry and can eat so much more than I thought I could. I surely understand where your head is and hope we can find out how to more on here.

Hi Marci..
It was nice to hear from someone. My surgery will be one year old on Feb 1, so I am doing some things to try to jump start more weight loss. I have cut all junk food out of my diet, and mostly all surgar. I still am going to Curves 4-5 times a week because I do believe this helps. Email me if you wish, kaybee4ed@aol.com We can discuss other ways to help us with the weight loss. I go back to my doctor this weekend. My biggest fear is that I will gain all my weight back and truthfully this haunts me. Thanks for all your time. I look forward to hearing from you.

Hello everyone, I'm a newbie on TT..My name is Jason from Philadelphia... I have been reading forums for weeks now, and I'm hooked..I have my GBypass consultation tomorrow at the University of Penn...little nervous. Just had my gallbladder removed this past summer, long story....but lying in that hospital bed sick..is one of the reasons I looked more into this surgery to help me with my obesity. I look forward to share and give feedback with you all.. TTYL

Good luck to you, as you can tell from my profile I had my surgery at the U of Pa 2/2006. Do you know who will ge doing your surgery. I would love to help you in any way to get through all the trials you will be going through to get to surgery and then past. It is not easy either way, but it was absolutely the best thing I ever did for myself in my whole like. I am having some problems now almost 2 years gone with loosing or even maintaining, but there are so many in this support link who have good information and are willing to share. Lets keep in touch.

Hi Jason and welcome.. anything we can help you with please let us know. You are in for the ride of your life, but in the end it is all worth it. I had my gallbladder outabout 20 years ago and that surgery was worse then the gastric, but they didn't have laser back then.. I am just new to this sight as well but the people here are great, I just wish I would have found it alot sooner. take care!
