Hi.....
I would look up a few local Gastric doctors in your area and
ask them about their support groups. Most will let you join in.
That is what I am doing in Ventura...and my surgery will be in
L.A. at Cedars Sinai w/ Dr. Khalili.
GOOD Luck and welcome to T.T. and S. Calif. where
you will be on the beach in your yellow poka dot bikini
in no time !!!!!!!

I have been on my pre-op protein shake diet since monday Aug. 4th. This is one of the toughest things I have had to go through, at times I have felt weak and drained, it is no fun when you have to go through this and work. The program through is giving me support and is helping me through this and have added a little of turkey jerky, 1 fruit, and lettuce, cucumber, bellpepper, celery with No calorie dressing per day. I have 9 days left until surgery, looking for a new life. If I could get rid of my diabetes it would be great!!!. Wish me luck, thanks for all the support.

The Ostomy Associations of Southern California (OASC) are a group of independent ostomy support groups that share this website. Most of the groups were Affiliated Chapters of the United Ostomy Association (UOA), until it dissolved in September, 2005. Some of the groups are now affiliated with the new United Ostomy Associations of America (UOAA).

An ostomy support group is a non-profit organization of volunteers devoted to the rehabilitation of persons who have undergone intestinal or bladder surgery resulting in ostomies (colostomy, ileostomy, or urostomy) or alternate procedures (J-pouch, pull-through).
