Calling out to the Michigan people!

Now that I am 3 months into my 6 month diet I really need to get rolling on picking a surgeon and hospital. I have alot of options with my PPO but was wondering which hospitals everyone liked best.

Just wondering about everyone elses experiences and hope I'll be able to make the right decision.

This is the hospital is used. Dr. Marshall is the best. I know many peolpe who had the WLS done by him and Dr. Pesta.

I'm on the other side of the state but can highly recommend any of the surgeons at Grand Health Partners in Grand Rapids.

I have nothing but good to say about all of the surgeons and their staff. I am one of their volunteer support group leaders plus an RN on the bariatric floor so I've gotten to know them fairly well.

I would like to go see them but the problem is the seminar dates...Monday and Wednesdays...I have classes those nights from 6-11 and at my school when you miss class time they take away from your grade. I've been to seminars at 2 other hospitals and wonder if they will let me just come in for a consult...I can't miss class.

I'm still keeping my options open. I get paid next week and every consult visit is $30 so I want to fee comfortable real quick.

Well, incase anyone was wondering I decided to go with Dr. Edelman at Harper University hospital. The staff there is amazing and seems to only have my best intrest in mind.
