Default For us soda drinkers

I've been trying to find a solution for us "Soda" drinkers. I use to love my diet Dr Pepper or Cream soda. Now after the GBP I found out that I can not have it any longer. But maybe there is hope... A friend of mine does a home program called "Soda Stream" where you buy the soda syrup then carbonate it yourself. I asked to borrow some and then used a blender to crush ice then I added the syrup. While it is not "Soda" as we know it, it tasted great! It was more like a "Slurpee" than a soda. He gave me the 'diet Dr Pepper' generic brand to try, but they also make orange, lemon lime, Cream soda ...etc.

Does anyone else out there have any good substitues?

Michael

That sounds super yummy.......but if it's carbonated it's still not good for the pouch....the gasses can make it stretch, I believe...

Okay, so what you are saying is that you just used the syrup and added it to the crushed ice and never carbonated it right? If so, mmmm! Good idea! I wanna try it!

I'd like to know where you can buy the syrups. It depends on the nutrional info if I would actually try it though. That sounds delicious though.

I'm not quite sure whether I'd get the same buzz without the bubbles!

Anyway - here's Soda Stream for Diet Cola Caffeine-Free syrup, Diet Root Beer, Diet Cream Soda, Ginger Ale.... mmmmm! Soda Mixes | SodaStream

Here's the link to retailers: Store Locator | SodaStream

Why can't you have decaf tea with sweetner (Splenda/Truvia/Stevia etc).

There's only around 2g of caffeine in decaf tea - regular tea has approx 40g.
