i'm just over six months right now, almost 7 and have been stalled for about 30 days. Probably bad foods. Time to get real with my journal again i guess...

I am now starting week 14, for say hmmmm 3 weeks weight loss plateaued. I went back and forth in the 250's 5 pounds up and down. I was going nuts when someone suggested up my protien intake from once a day (shakes) to twice a day and make sure I am getting 64 ounces of water (1.7 liters). Well I did just that and the weight is coming off again albeit not quite as fast but it is moving. I am exercising every second day for about an hour on a thread mill at the gym.

I think the key to is change up your routine, adjust the basics, that being the water, protein intake and exercise. These three are bigtime factors. Like lifting free weights you need to change up the routine after a while and shock the muscle.

As long as I eat properly and follow the regime, I can't help but lose weight.

Started out at 322 and am now today at 239 lbs. My ideal weight I aiming for is between 174 & 200, not the 160 my doctor suggested to me.

I remember when losing weight the old way, manually I will call it ha ha my weight loss graph looked exactly as described here, like stairs, the plateaus would last for up to a week but as long as you were following the diet it would come down. I was told at that time the plateaus are indicative of the body readjusting it water levels etc and retaining water to do so .... made sense back then and probably is applicable today with WLS.

Hi...I'm over six years out and I haven't posted in a very long time, but I couldn't help noticing all the men that now post and how many more of you are getting the surgery. I think it's great! My brother is scheduled for his first consultation this week and he's asked me to go with him. I think it's so cool, I know he's going to be so much happier and healthier to boot! The numbers below are still good to this date
