Buying A Suit
I need to buy a suit for APRIL.
Since, it is several months away, I don't know what size I'll be.
The problem is I have found K & G Superstore and they are having a 2-For sale.
I was told, though the source is somewhat questionable, that a suit can normally only be altered 2 full sizes down. Otherwise it's like tailoring a suit from scratch.
Should I just buy "future" suits or wait until March and hope they still have the sale or a sale somewhere else?

I would really suggest you hang on - I made the mistake of buying things I would fit in later and ended up skipping sizes so the clothes just never got worn.

Trust me- wait! I was in the same boat back in the Fall. I actually talked to a seamstress. She confirmed the "2 sizes" thing. She said it can vary, but with a suit, there is not as much leeway in altering it and still having it look good. (This was my wedding suit after all!) Wait until March if you can, you'll be glad you did!

Dude, wait until march, or try going in to K&G, explain the situation, maybe they will honor the deal in marh - pay now and fit in March. Wouldn't hurt to try.

You need to wait man. Your measurements will change in inches even if your weight don't change much during that time frame.
I purposely held off on getting new suits because I knew my body would be changing greatly. Do yourself a favor and wait. Unless they are really cheep and it doesn't matter. There's no way i'd drop 1k on a good suit and then try and have it realtered two sizes down.

I spoke with K & G's tailor and he said they can tailor it anytime as long as I have the receipt.
The deal is $300 or less for 2 suits. I am not sure about the return policy, especially if I leave them unaltered.
If I can do an in store exchange, then I might just buy them now and replace them in March.

I would wait unless you have something in writing from the manager saying that you can buy now, get the special, and return right before the vent with the receipt to have them altered...otherwise, hang tight and wait...
