Found out the other day I have PAD, but got some great news today! Dr. Macik wants me to get the Psyc eval. out the way. BCBS of AL states they don't need it but they alwys ask for one. The doctor he wanted me to go to was not on my network. I got a call today from the Psychologist office all I have to pay is 10% $37.50 "aint God good". When I get approved I'm going to tell Dr. Macik...I want my whole 12 weeks. My PCP told me the other day it will be real hard on me and I know that 2-3 weeks is not going to do it. Because when I do get approval. It will use up any remaining days that I have. So, if I get approval in Sept. and that surgery is done in Sept. I need to return in December. Close to xmas that way. My department is not busy and it won't be that long until Jan 1st.

You have been on my mind. I'm sorry to hear that you are having problems. If you don't mind me asking. Did the doctor say what made that happen? Sorry, for taking so long to reply, I have been doing well at first that new BP medicine was kicking my butt! Now it has gotten into my system and I'm alright. In the morning I'll be attending my first seminar. My prays are with you and continue to recover and rest.

I am well, how are you? I ended up in the hospital last week with a bowel obstruction but I'm past that...doing much better now. I wasn't able to get on here too much for about a week. I hope you are well! Please let me know how you are doing, yoou are in my thoughts daily!

If you can get it done in Sept. go for it! Then by winter break....you have what 2 maybe 3 months behind you. I'll keep my fingers crossed!!

I wanted surgery before school started, but the surgeon's month of August is already full. Big downer. Now my family is hounding me to wait until winter break. I don't think I can wait four months longer than I thought I was going to. If I have to take a week or two off school in September, so be it. If it makes me get C's instead of A's... I think I might live.

I sent my team an email on Friday to ensure they received everything I dropped off Thursday and that it was sufficient, and to make sure they got my PCP's fax regarding clearance for surgery. However, my PCP also didn't fax my prescription for a chest CT so I'm not optimistic about the office having sent the clearance. I still haven't gotten an email back. Cross fingers!

I've been trying to work on my diet history. I find it hard to remember all the things I've done to lose weight. I did create my family health history. It's clear "I'm a time bomb...waitin to happen". Gooberrific, I'm glad you didn't take offense. Because regardless of what we call it. We both need approval for this "life saver". I don't see having any problems out of the surgeon, I just want my package to contain everything BCBS of Ala. needs. I want the surgery before my b-day in October.

I'm not religious, but I don't mind if other people are! I don't mind the phrase "Just pray" things are all right. Everyone prays in some form -- some of us call it "wishing."

The new dr.is in my corner 100%. Exactly, he works with the surgeon. I didn't know that. Although,the new bp med is really pulling the fluid off, but I've only taken one dose and it's just taking all my strength. How are you feeling today?
