    Hi,
Glad your well, i know it can be annoying when the weight is not coming off but we need to remember that we are all different and will therefore lose the weight differently. Dont panic it will start to melt. How is your diet? what are you managing to eat?

    Hey Angela!
Wow, lots going on with you! I'm so happy for you that things are on track for next week, despite the small issues. I'm sure the reduced meds will change your life on its own!

I've been doing very well - down 34kg so far! Had my 3 month post op check up this morning and all is 100%. I only have 12 more kg's to go!

I'm not on the site much either - life gets carried away with me - if you want to chat please feel free to email me (at least I WILL get those messages immediately!).

Try to relax in this last week pre-op... it's all downhill from here - trust me!

Nope, med aid let me down BIG time. I'm on the top plan on Discovery. they said they would pay in principle, so I submitted all the forms etc and then they said that because my BMI at time of applying was below 40 they wouldnt cover it - even though i started at 42.5! They apparently will find any excuse so I didnt bother reapplying.
Cool - I'm a frequent Sandton Mugg & Beaner so let me know once you've phoned and decided where to and what.. then we'll go for a skinny!
Nice to have a fellow IT brain South African! (I think most just havent heard of TT - I told my nutritionist at Prof Heines rooms about it and she said she will def recommend to other patients. Would be great to have a local group going!

That is the case in South Africa in general unfortunately! I'm talking to Prof vd Walt about starting up a support group for his patients.. it's so important.
Whenever you're ready, let me know, and we'll go for a coke light or skinny milo. I'm free lance so can do it during the week in the day too.

Nervous is normal!!!! It IS a big thing you're doing and it's good not to take it too lightly. If you want to know anything please ask - I'm even happy to meet up with you sometime if you'd like... I know how important support is!
